The Haven/Casa Tranquilidad Gorgeous Private Room

This is a spacious home w/lots of natural light. It is 5 minutes from Griffin Hospital and 20 minutes from 3 other major hospitals. It is just 25 minutes to Yale University. Around Yale you will find restaurants, museums, live performances and shops and boutiques. The back yard and the dining room are available to guests. My home is a smoke and alcohol free space. Women traveling with children are especially welcome. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen and dining room. In the summer guests are more than welcome to sit outside in the backyard. Guests have access to the kitchen and backyard. While I love to chat with guests I prefer to let them stay to themselves if they like. This street has historic significance. In the early 1900s an African man named John Boone purchased several acres of land on Hull Street and Silver Hill Rd. He built a home for his family and then sold the rest to other African Americans. This was a great service because it was impossible for them to buy property. Our home is just 3 minutes from Route #8, which will take you to Route#34, The Merrit Parkway Route #84. There is a public transportation bus one mile away from our home. That bus takes you into New Haven where there are several other city buses that travel in and around the New Haven area. NOTE: The kitchen is temporarily under construction. There is a microwave, a refrigerator in the room, a hot plate and a toaster oven for communal use. There is a small cooking prep area. Guests are welcome to prep meals and eat on the deck in the back yard. Guests are also welcome to eat in their room. I have one cat that stays away from guests. There is one double bed and a cot. The main part of the house has AC. The BR has a fan and a ceiling fan and AC. Guests are expected to use proper judgement when heating and cooling the room. Please use the ceiling fan and window to cool the room if temperatures outside are cool. Keep thermostat at 70 degrees or lower in the winter. Guests are expected to recycle and compost all food waste. I am happy to show you what to do. Guests should bring hard bottom slippers to wear while staying here. Long term guests will pay a refundable security deposit and a larger cleaning fee.
