Enjoy a 10-acre suburban farmcation in the heart of Orangevale, just east of Sacramento. Guests can utilize the entire 2,000+ sq. ft. 3 bedroom / 3 bath farmhouse set in the middle of rolling hills, giant oak trees, and a working farm. Guests have access to farm fresh eggs each morning and can pre-schedule visits to our barnyard with a llama, horses, goats, chickens, and lots of fun. We love sharing our little farm with others. This is more than a vacation home - it's a great family experience! House guests enjoy ten acres of property including picnic tables, tree swings and teeter-totters. There is ample space to roam and explore. Barnyard tours can be scheduled ahead of time—we are always more than happy to share our animals with our guests. Guests experience all of the comforts of home during their stay. The Heirloom House is set up with Apple TV with Netflix and Hulu and heating and air are easily controlled with the Nest thermostat. On cooler nights, guests are welcome to use the pellet stove to provide extra warmth and a cozy atmosphere. The 3 bedroom, 3 full bath, 2,000+ sq. ft. house comfortably sleeps eight with accommodations for more. Our goal is to make Heirloom Acres a home away from home. Those who stay at the ranch house aren’t surprised to see a few free range critters during their time at Heirloom Acres. Wild turkeys and pheasants often stroll through the fields and a quail family lives just off of the driveway and can be seen scurrying across the gravel. On occasion, a coyote will travel through the creek in the late evening hours, but they keep to themselves and are often heard rather than seen. As a working farm, guests often see our family out planting seeds in the cut flower gardens or otherwise tending to the land. Staying at the Heirloom House is a true farmcation experience and we couldn’t be happier to share it with you and your family. (Please note that during the months of July-October our farm is frequently open to the public for flower cutting.)
