Located about a 20 minute cab ride from the cold spring train station for those who want to take metro north. Roaring Brook Lake is a quiet lake community right off the Taconic. The neighborhood borders Fahnestock State Park and is a 20 minute drive to Downtown Cold Spring. The lake itself is great for swimming and boating (no motors) and the neighbors are friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is about a 20-30 minute drive from the Metro North Station in Cold Spring. There are two numbers for taxis in the House Manual. Having a car affords you the most flexibility. Depending on traffic, the cabin is a 1-2 hour drive from Manhattan.
