The Amare Guesthouse is a relaxed and inviting recently restored Victorian home steps from downtown Chester VT. From coffee to cocktails relax on one of the large porches. Walking distance to restaurants and pubs, rivers, farms, trails, antique shops, galleries, and a grocery store. The kitchen features a heartland 6 burner stove, marble sink and is well stocked with cooking basics including a cast iron pan, teas & coffee, spices. Our intent is to provide a space that allows you to rest, dream, nourish and play. We hope you love Amare Guesthouse as much as we do! In response to Covid-19, we are adding some precautions to make your stay safe and enjoyable. We have added an extra day between bookings to allow more time and extra care for thorough cleaning to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations, wash & dry all linens on the highest heat setting available, and fresh air ventilation. We have also increased our minimum stay to 4 days and lowered our monthly stay rates. With all of the necessary precautions taken, we invite you to come and enjoy the space and fresh air of the Green Mountains. With an abundance of local farm-fresh food, hiking trails and lakes, Vermont is great for a staycation. As a work-from-home alternative, or for families. We have some of the country's fastest fiber-optic internet speeds. First floor: The fabulous eat-in gourmet kitchen features a heartland 6 burner stove, marble sink and is well stocked with cooking basics including cast iron pans, teas, coffee and spices. With all of the local farms in our area, it's a perfect place to gather with friends who love to stay in and cook. Second floor: Bedroom #1: large master bedroom with a king bed and an attached private sitting room for reading, yoga, or a quiet coffee overlooking the town. Bedroom #2: two twin beds, sitting area, big windows with lots of light. Bedroom #3: queen bed Centrally located full bathroom with a tub/shower combo Guests have access to the entire home except the attached garage apartment, which we live in part time. The Guest House and apartment share an entry porch with a separate entrance door divided for privacy by a mudroom (downstairs). Enjoy the beautiful covered front porch and pergola which is yours alone. When we are home, we are happy to give you all the privacy you would like. The driveway can easily accommodate 3-4 cars, more with some creative parking! The house is located within the village of Chester. You can park your car and walk to everything. The house is set on a small knoll in town within walking distance of shops, restaurants, grocery, bakery, hiking trails & Black River fishing and swimming holes, yoga studio, and a recreation area with a public pool, tennis courts, playground and skate park. Our region is becoming increasingly known for its organic farms, farm raised beef, farm to table restaurants, craft beer, artisan bread and cheese, and even local winemakers. Within a short drive you can easily visit working farms and many small historic villages. The nearby towns of Ludlow, Grafton, Weston, Springfield and Bellows Falls are all within 15 minutes' drive from Amare Guesthouse, each with their own personality. Brattleboro, Woodstock and Manchester are within a 45 min drive and offer rich history, more restaurants and entertainment. The house is on a main road so traffic can be heard. We can easily be reached by phone, text, email, or a knock on our door if we are home and I would be happy to answer any questions or suggest some fun activities for you and your family to do during your visit.
