Come stay in this historic 1920's bungalow, located just 5 minutes from Lambeau Field and nestled in one of Green Bay's coziest neighborhoods. You'll love this freshly restored home (in-progress and almost complete!) with timeless charm and modern updates throughout. Relax in the living room, sip cocktails in the dining room, grind fresh coffee in the brand new kitchen, or grill on the private, backyard patio. No matter where you chill, you'll enjoy modern style while going back in time. The space This solid brick cutie was built in 1924 by one of Green Bay's greatest designers, Perry T. Benton, the same man who designed the now-famous Bellin Building, located in downtown Green Bay (also GB's tallest building!). Until recently, the home was sadly outdated, poorly maintained, and in desperate need of financial investment, modern updates and comprehensive restoration. I purchased the home in June 2017, and quickly realized the disrepair of the home. As a result, I completely replaced all plumbing throughout the home, as well as most of the electrical components and wiring. The ceilings were replaced, the plaster walls were repaired, and the hardwood floors were completely restored after being covered for over two decades (they were covered with multiple layers of vinyl, carpeting, tile, and other materials). I demolished the bathroom (complete with a cast iron tub), replaced the walls and ceiling, and installed an exhaust fan because mold had begun to grow in the attic due to lack of ventilation (don't worry, it was professionally removed and treated!). I also demolished the kitchen, which was terribly outdated and unsafe, replaced the ceiling and soffits, restored the hardwood floor, exposed the brick chimney, installed new cabinets, and completed the kitchen with brand new appliances and a tiled backsplash. I also repainted the entire place--every ceiling, all walls, and even the extensive woodwork. I completed this work in four months--just in time for winter's arrival. Although I've accomplished a lot, you'll notice it's still a work-in-progress. The quarter-round molding will be soon be installed along the baseboard in each room. And there are other odds and ends that are in process and close to completion. But all-in-all it's been an awesome project and it's come a long way from being an old house to an amazing home. I can't wait for you to experience it for yourselves! Welcome to Green Bay. Welcome home! Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, including full access to the kitchen, bathroom, master bedroom, office, living room, dining room, enclosed front porch, back patio, and basement (to access stack-able washer and dryer). Interaction with guests I'm happy to interact with guests as much or as little as they want. I'm always a phone call away, or I'm more than happy to spend time with guests, make in-person recommendations, provide an in-depth tour of my home and so on. Or I'm willing to give guests a totally private experience. Either way is totally OK! Other things to note My home is fully furnished, but if there's anything guests need or cannot locate, I'm more than happy to assist in order to get them whatever they need.
