Runaway to Deer Run - Buck Mountain

Enjoy the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the large wrap-around deck and abundance of windows. Rental includes the main level and the loft (not basement). The wood burning stone fireplace and gorgeous hardwood floors make this incredible getaway a joy during your stay. This family owned and managed property has a fully equipped kitchen with all of the cooking implements you could want including a dishwasher, ice maker, coffee pot, tea kettle, a Keurig (bring your own K-cups) and plenty of dishes. There's wifi and cable TV service on the main level and the loft. Enjoy jigsaw puzzles, board games, DVDs and card games. The huge loft has 2 queen size beds and a full bath. The main level has a private bedroom with a full size bed. The deck has a gas grill, table and chairs with a southern exposure for plenty of sun. Buck Mountain has a waterfall, trails, a fishing pond, and picnic areas. The OAC (Outdoor Activity Center) which is approx 2 miles from the house includes a stage for performances, a fire pit, a putting green, picnic table and more. The community is gated for security. It's about 8 miles from the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, 45 minutes to Boone NC, and 15 minutes to Wilkesboro NC. This house has a southern view with spectacular sun rises & sunsets. No need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle to negotiate Buck Mountain. All electric - no gas at the house. Star gazers will appreciate getting away from city lights and will enjoy the night sky in all it's glory. Pets under 40 pounds are welcome. Owner does not supply firewood for the fireplace (no open fires on the property). You can bring your own wood or bring a saw and cut from previously downed trees on the property.
