Watch Island Lodge is perfect for your next intimate family vacation or large, exciting reunion. This historic house located on a private island has 7 bedrooms and sleeps 12 adults. Watch Island (previously known as Indolence Island) is set in a tranquil bay overlooking the St Lawrence Seaway. It is a 116 year old Victorian home with spectacular views of sunsets, the1000 Island Bridge, passing ships and the Rock Island Lighthouse. The dining room is a large gracious room that seats 12 with 12 windows overlooking the seaway and evening sunsets. Comfortable living room furnished in antiques, fireplace and views of the river.. The house is surrounded by 3 open porches and a breathtaking enclosed in glass/ screen porch. All baths have claw-foot soaking tubs/showers. The Boathouse has deep water and plenty of dock space. Crystal clear water for swimming. The house was originally built with servants quarters (now regular bedrooms) if anyone wishes to bring a nanny and cook there is plenty of room. Requested stays of less then 7 days may be honored, please inquire. GREAT LOCATION FOR SPECIAL EVENTS : This has been called the Venice of the North. The history of the area and these enchanted islands is fascinating with stories of wars, pirates, sunken ships, boat building, thousand island dressing, grand island hotels, famous people and their families and much more. A Land of castles, mansions, gingerbread cottages and antique boats which are still here and a must see. Watch Island is one of these wonderful Victorian houses. It is located in Blind Bay south of Fishers Landing and north of Round Island and can be seen on google earth. For your convenience we provide: Fully equipped kitchen Gas BBQ Toilet paper - 4 rolls per bathroom 1 roll of Paper towel Pillows and blankets (no linens or towels) Kayaks Fishing poles What you need to bring: Linens for beds and towels for bath Swim/dock towels Shampoo, bath soap, hand soap, kitchen soap, dishwasher soap Small laundry detergent if you think you will do some personal laundry Food, beverages and snacks for the week. Coffee maker has its own filter no need to bring filters. Coffee maker takes either whole beans or ground coffee.
