Nestled on a quiet street, just steps away from the entrance to Walnut Beach, this fully renovated Victorian offers the perfect setting for your next vacation. The first floor of this two-story home features a full bath with a deep farmhouse sink and standing shower. The kitchen boasts new appliances and is stocked with everything you’ll need including pots, pans, serving utensils, plenty of dinnerware and a coffee pot. The long, family-style dining table in the eat-in kitchen ensures that everyone can eat together including the little ones (a highchair is provided). Also on the first floor is a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a large entryway and a family room with a large, L-shaped couch, a 55-inch flatscreen TV, fast internet with wifi and netflix, and an extensive selection of DVDs and board games. There are three bedrooms on the second floor including one with a king-sized bed and a flatscreen TV. The second-floor full bath includes a shower/tub combo and plenty of natural light. Bath towels are provided, but guests must bring their own beach towels. While this home is comfortable enough to stay in for the duration of your trip, you’ll probably want to get out and explore its surroundings. Walnut Beach is within walking distance and includes a swimming beach with lifeguards, a playground, a wildlife preserve, volleyball courts, bocce courts, picnic tables, a concession stand, and a short boardwalk. Point Park, which overlooks the Ashtabula River is also a quick walk and is definitely worth visiting. From it, you can see the Bascule Lift Bridge which goes up every half hour during the summer. (A must-see for young children!) Follow the steps from Point Park down to historic Bridge Street to check out a number of local shops and eateries including Briquettes Smokehouse, Harbor Perk coffeeshop, and Rennick Meat Market. Also accessible by foot is the Hubbard House which tells the story of the Underground Railroad, and Ashtabula Maritime Museum. And Geneva on the Lake is only a 15 minute drive away. There’s something to do in every season of the year!
