This eco solar powered home is off grid and features high end finishes, a large chef's kitchen, and a grand room with vaulted ceilings.The home is located at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain, and is about a mile from Strong Mansion and Sugarloaf Mountain vineyard. The house has 5 total bedrooms and sleeps 17 in beds, with the master on the first floor. Master-King, BR2-King+ Twin, BR3-King+twin, BR4- 1 king and 3 twins, BR5- 1 king and 2 twins. All bedrooms have a full bath. If you need additional space, you can also rent the studio apartment above the garage. (This is a different listing and a private apartment, but it is attached to the home)Some other features include: High end chef's kitchen & butlers pantry, heated floors, 900sf deck, 3 gas fire places, 2 UHD TVs with Direct TV, Free Wifi, game room with lots of games, Washer/dryer, custom furniture and hotel quality bedding. **Things to Note, please read: We do not allow large events at this property, or guests to host additional people. Our septic tank and parking can not accommodate this.Cell reception and wifi service are poor in this area. They work, but are spotty. You will not be able to stream video, and may have trouble with work VPN. (We encourage reading and board games here). There is NO solution to this problem, so please don't give us a bad review because your insta-feed won't load. You've been informed.In the event of snow or ice, the back deck may be closed for safety reasons. But we have a large covered patio under the deck that is always available.If you smoke anything inside the house you will lose your security deposit.This is a cabin in the woods, so despite our best efforts, you may see insects.Lastly, this home is off-grid, which means we produce and store all our energy. We are also on well and septic. Energy is not unlimited, therefore summer thermostats are set at 74 and winter at 68. Running the bathroom fans when showering during the summer months will help keep the humidity in the house down and keep you more comfortable. We appreciate any energy saving efforts, such as turning off items not being used, keeping showers short, running appliances (washer, DW) early in the day when possible. Our back up generator will prevent guests from ever losing power.
