Heavenly Country House On Silver Lake w/Sauna

Perched on the edge of pristine Silver Lake, our country house sits on a large rolling lot overlooking the lake and has been enjoyed by many visitors from all corners of the globe. With 5G connectivity and just minutes to the slopes and hiking trails, this luxurious charmer has it all. Enjoy pristine views of the lake as you cozy up to the toasty fire. End your work day early, head to the slopes or snow shoe the many trails nearby, create a gourmet meal in this custom built chef's kitchen, and finish the evening with a sauna. A perfect setting in all seasons. In summer relax, sit by the lake and fish for large mouth bass, northern pike, pumpkin seed sunfish, yellow perch, and rock bass, while the kids play and swim in beautiful quiet surroundings, or take out a kayak. No motor boats allowed. Hike the many trails in the area. State Park with facilities including beach, boat rentals and snack bar is a 5 minute kayak away. Parking for two cars in driveway, no street parking. IN THE SUMMER, enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on the garden patio. Our Weber gas grill allows for preparing meals for the whole family, while enjoying the sunset on Silver Lake. Evenings chatting around the fire pit is a perfect way to end the day. Let's move indoors: The house has three levels with 5 bedrooms, a bathroom on each level. On the main floor, you'll find a newly renovated, well-equipped kitchen, main bedroom with a full bathroom, as well as a 40 foot sun room for dinning while overlooking Silver Lake. The sun room, also has a work area overlooking the lake. The great room with a large gas fireplace and comfy sectional sofa is perfect for snuggling up with family and dear friends; playing board games; lingering after a yummy meal or watching TV with Roku streaming(Netflix, Amazon prime and more). The upper floor has three bedrooms (2 queens & a twin), a bathroom with a claw foot tub for soaking, and a sitting room with a desk for writing or reading. All the upper level rooms overlook the lake. The lower level is light-filled and spacious with a wall of windows, opening up to a patio overlooking the lake. An open living room / dining space. TV with Roku streaming(Netflix, Amazon prime and more), a newly renovated kitchen, bedroom with a queen bed, full bathroom and a sauna make for wonderful addition to the main space. This level also has two work areas. Simple pleasures. Simply lovely. IN THE WINTER, skate, cross-country ski the lake, ice fish or snowshoe. Suicide Six Ski Area, our local ski mountain is 5 minutes away and owned by The Woodstock Inn. Killington (30 minutes) (Biking and Adventure Center at Killington) Pico (40 minutes) Okemo (50 minutes) Woodstock is just15 minutes from the house and offers a wonderful variety of shops. Groceries at FH Gilligham's & The Village Butcher. Great clothing boutiques (Footprints), jewelry & book stores, restaurants, art and antique galleries. Recreational facilities open to the public, including Robert Trent Jones golf course/ spa / indoor pool and Billings Farm and Museum, a fantastic operating museum/dairy farm annexed to the Rockefeller mansion and National Park consisting of 900 pristine acres for hiking and horseback riding. Hanover New Hampshire and Dartmouth College are 35 minutes away. The Village of Quechee, just 20 minutes away is the home of Simon Pierce glass blowing fame and excellent tourist sites, art galleries and antique shops. Also, within an hour, are the state capital, Montpelier, and Burlington, a vibrant college town with much to offer by way of shopping and site seeing.
