Master bedroom suite, kids room with bunk beds and a third bedroom, make this well appointed house a truly relaxing retreat. Our farm kitchen is stocked with essential pantry and all necessary cooking equipment you want to use (food processor, kitchen aid mixer and hand blender). Aditi loves cooking, so the kitchen gets her utmost attention. Neighborhood farms (Sheeley's, Damn Good Honey, Saunderskills and Kelders) and food coops (High Falls and Kingston) for you to shop and plan your meals in the gourmet kitchen, complete with a grill and outdoor dining area on the patio. By nightfall get a fire going in the fire pit, sit in the historic living room, sinking into the comfy couches and unwind from your day hikes in nearby Minnewaska, New York’s most loved state park. Smart TV in living room comes with streaming access to local channels and Netflix. Whole house air-conditioning with zoned controls. In season, we share our fresh chicken eggs and produce from our vegetable garden with you. Our chickens roam free, as does our resident cat Pretzel. If you leave doors open, they might wander in and keep you company. They love exploring the inside of cars so make sure you keep your vehicle doors closed at all times. Please be understanding of the fact that this reservation is strictly for the guests on record. No additional persons are allowed on the property at any point in time, without our prior consent. If you are celebrating a special occasion, please check with us on the rules. Our house is in a very quiet country neighborhood. Please be respectful of our neighbors. Parking - Please park your car(s) on the grass by the cart with firewood. Please DO NOT park by the garage doors. Keys - The guest key will be in the lockbox at the front door. The code to the lockbox is 2312. During your stay, you can use the key to get in and out of the house. Please return key to the lockbox before you leave. Air Conditioning and Heating - We recently converted to Mitsubishi air conditioning and heating system. There are 4 units in different areas of the house which are meant to cover the whole house for both heating and cooling. The remote by the main door controls all units. While these are highly energy efficient units, we kindly ask you to use them in the space as needed. PLEASE return remote to its holder when you check out. Wood burning stoves - Please do NOT use the wood burning stoves at this time. Kitchen - Tea, coffee and sugar are on the counter. Milk and half-and-half in the fridge. Standard pantry ingredients - olive oil, salt and pepper are there as well. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking and serving utensils, dishes and cutlery. Feel free to use all items that you find in the kitchen. There is a grill on the back patio that you can use as well. Garbage goes in the front bin, recyclables in the back bin (they pull out in the cabinet left of sink). You do not have to empty trash if it’s not full. If you need to take trash out, the bins are in garage. You can access the bins through the door behind the ping pong table in the breezeway. Bedrooms - The beds are always made with fresh linens awaiting your arrival. There is a duvet and a blanket for each bed. There will be 2 towels per bedroom on your beds. There are extra towels, sheets and blankets in the linen closet if needed. Please put all used towels in the the laundry basket by the linen closet before you leave. Thank you :) Bathrooms - We are on septic. Kindly do not dispose any paper products other than toilet paper in the toilet. Fire pit - Use the firewood in the cart by the stone house walkway. Paper and kindling are in hallway entryway. Lighter is in the kitchen in the top drawer above the pull out garbage cans. Area around the house - you can explore the woods around the house. We recommend you use tick spray (provided) when walking the woods. In the summer, we welcome you to share herbs and vegetables from our vegetable garden. Our chickens and cat roam free, so please keep your car doors closed otherwise they like to hop in! We hope you find great joy here as we do. We are happy to share it with you! Enjoy your stay!
