This newly remodeled home is nestled in a quiet subdivision with a view of peaceful pastures from the front porch swing. It is a perfect get-away destination for you and family or friends. It is located on the outskirts of Cookeville, and in minutes you can be; downtown for a little shopping and dining out, at the trail head to Cummins Falls*, or at TTU for the big game or graduation. * A permit is now required to hike to the falls. (Website hidden by Airbnb) We offer free wifi, so after a fun filled day at the falls you can sit back in the cozy living room and watch a favorite show on the 55 inch Smart TV(no cable).We also have a few games to choose from if you prefer some interactive family time: Apples to Apples, Uno, Cards, and Dominoes. The kitchen includes a Keurig and choice of Green Mountain bold or medium coffee. If you prefer eating in, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need (incl. salt, pepper, and olive oils) to cook and serve a meal, or you can throw a few steaks on the gas grill in the back yard. The dining table seats up to 8, so you can enjoy a causal or fine dining experience. There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom has three beds, a stand alone twin bed and twin bunk beds (each bunk bed has a weight capacity of 180lbs). The main bathroom has a double vanity, bathtub with shower, and laundry area. We are local and will answer any questions within an hour. Cookeville is surrounded by many lakes, rivers, and waterfalls to explore while hiking, fishing, or kayaking. A few places to visit are: Cummins Falls*, Burgess Falls, Center Hill Lake, Dale Hollow Lake, Standing Stone Park, and Fall Creek Falls. In downtown Cookeville, Dogwood Park is a family friendly hot spot where you can enjoy an outdoor movie, concert or let the kids play in the interactive fountain. You can dine at one of our many wonderful restaurants: Char Steaks and Seafood, Red Silo Brewing Co., Mauricio's Italian Restaurant, The Blue Pig, or Crawdaddy's Grill. Also, you can enjoy a treat at either of Cookeville's landmark locations, Cream City Ice Cream & Coffee House, or Ralph's Donut Shop. * A permit is now required to hike to the falls at Cummins Falls and children 12 and under are required to wear a life jacket, which they do provide but recommend you bring your own. Permits are limited, so we highly recommend purchasing one when making your reservation. The price is $6 per person plus tax. (Website hidden by Airbnb) We are a 10 minute drive off I40, less than 10 minutes to Cummins Falls, and 15 minutes to the heart of downtown. Our public transportation system, CATS, runs Mon-Sat., in the downtown area. Easy self check-in with key pad entry or if you prefer a key we have a lock box with keys. Codes will be provided prior to check-in.
