We are offering our beautiful old cabin as a vacation rental this summer. Our cabin is in the most ideal location for your vacation. It is very private and secluded, but the historic East Glacier Park Lodge is only a five-minute walk away. The train station and the rest of the restaurants and shops in East Glacier are all within walking distance as well. Although this is our home for part of the year, we have arranged it to be a very comfortable vacation rental this summer. Upon arrival, you will feel at home (not like you are in someone else's home). An easy staircase takes you up the stairs to the lofted master bedroom, which overlooks the high ceilinged living room. The living room opens up to the large kitchen that was just remodeled, with dining area and all of the appliances and cookware that you could possibly need. Off of the kitchen is a large bathroom with a washer and dryer. On the opposite side of the kitchen is the second living room/bedroom with a queen bed and TV, and a sliding barn door for privacy. The sleeping arrangements are as follows: There is one king bed upstairs in the loft, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and a very comfortable futon in the living room. For most check-ins, my girlfriend or I will be available to meet you with the keys. We can be as available or sparse as you want us to be during your stay. We are both very familiar with the area and are happy to offer advice as to how best enjoy this beautiful place that we live in. Our cabin truly offers the best of both worlds in terms of peace, quiet and privacy while still being in very close proximity to all that East Glacier has to offer. East glacier is a great base camp location for exploring the east side of the park. It's a ten-minute ride to the Two-Medicine entrance to Glacier National Park. Thirty-five to the St. Mary entrance, and 45 to the Many Glacier entrance. We only have one neighbor who lives about 50 yards away. They have two dogs. One is the a big Chesapeake bay retriever and the other is a small cattle dog. They are very friendly and harmless, but will bark to protect their territory occasionally. Sometimes they wander into our yard, but will usually retreat back to their house when they see a human they are not familiar with. Please don't feed them, and please don't be alarmed by the fact that they might not be wearing a collar.
