Take out one of 3 kayaks for a paddle, or hike Pinnacle Trail, just a short walk from the house to the trail head. Hopkins Vineyard is right down the road along with many other fantastic restaurants. Or create a tasty meal in the fabulous kitchen and eat overlooking the lake. The 2,300 square foot house is spacious and airy, with open, well thought-out spaces, yet cozy with wood beams spanning the great room and warm Fir floors. Cook in the well-appointed kitchen featuring a giant island, gas cooktop, and convection oven. Snuggle in with a book in the second-floor landing or play a game or watch tv from the den which can be fully closed off from the great room by pulling shut gorgeous pocket doors. There's also WIFI if you have to work or want to surf the internet. We will leave you be unless you need us for any reason, be sure to contact us. Love to Ski and Snowboard? Find your edge at nearby Mohawk Mountain (28 min), Catamount (1 hr), Thunder Ridge (40 min) and Ski Sundown (45 min). Or bring your cross country skis for a glide through the trails at White Memorial Conservation Center. Like to Bike, Walk, or Run? Bring your bike or your sneakers for the 7.6 mile route around the perimeter of the lake. Hiker? The three preserves of the Steep Rock Assoc. have numerous trails to traverse, including Pinnacle trail, just up the road from the house. Swimmer? Jump into open water from the dock at the house or use the town beach within walking distance. Art Aficionado? Explore the galleries that Washington has to offer. Shopaholic? Get your fill with the quaint shops in New Preston and Washington filled with gifts, antiques, sweets, clothing, and more. Car Buff? We are 30 minutes from Lime Rock Park. We are within walking distance of the Washington Town Beach and the boat launch and a half mile to the quaint village of New Preston. Please note: Kayaks have been put away for the season.
