Comfortable Lyons home-walk to Planet Bluegrass!

Enjoy our 2000 sq ft, 2-BR/2-bath home. We are less than a mile to downtown Lyons and Planet Bluegrass. Enjoy privacy, beautiful scenery, and all the comforts of home. *This is our primary residence and is only available when we are out of town. However, we do have some flexibility with availability; please always feel free to contact us with inquiries even if certain dates are blocked out on the calendar. We have 2 bedrooms: a Master with 1 split/adjustable King and ensuite 5-piece bath; and a second BR with 1 Queen and full bath across the hall. We think our home is most comfortable for 4 people. The open floor plan includes a great room with tastefully furnished LR/DR/Kitchen. Because this is our primary residence, you will find all the kitchen supplies you might need. Our dining table seats 6, and there are 2 barstools at the kitchen counter. We have an array of small appliances in addition to dishwasher, washer/dryer, and outdoor gas grill you can use. We have a 1-acre, fully fenced yard (not a manicured lawn, though!) and east and west-facing patios. There are 360-degree views of surrounding foothills, including Steamboat Mountain. There is a long driveway, but no garage. Our home is about a 5-min bike ride or 15-min walk to Planet Bluegrass and downtown Lyons. We do not have cable/satellite TV, but do have fast wifi and have a Roku for Netflix, etc. Cooling is provided by a swamp cooler (very effective in our climate) and ceiling fans in BR/LR. If you are attending a festival, we have some camp chairs, a tarp, flashlights, and other useful items you can borrow. We have chickens and you are welcome to their fresh eggs every day! Entire home (except our two offices; we ask that you not enter those). We will not be in the area during your stay, but are available anytime via phone with questions or concerns. A local contact will be available in case of emergencies. We will leave you information re: our home and re: area attractions. We live on a short gravel road with few neighbors and plenty of privacy. We have lovely views in every direction and often see wildlife in the yard. Our proximity to Hwy 36 means easy access, but some road noise at times. Our little town of Lyons is very charming with frequent live music shows, art galleries, cute shops, plenty of restaurants, and its own brewery and distillery! We are about 30 minutes from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, 20 minutes to Boulder, and 1 hour from the Denver airport. A car is generally recommended, but as noted above, Lyons and Planet Bluegrass are easy to access via walking or biking. Our house is a 1-level ranch style but there is 1 step from the kitchen down into the living room. It is not "child-proofed." Please be aware that the walk to town is via a non-level path, then a short piece on a wide road shoulder, and then on a sidewalk. It is not well-lighted at night, but you can use our flashlights. It will likely not be suitable for individuals with physical challenges. For those with severe animal allergies: The house will be well-cleaned before your stay, but dogs do live here (they will not be on the premises during your stay). We have chickens in an enclosed coop/run in the backyard, and a neighbor may need to be in the yard a few minutes per day to care for them, depending on the length of your stay (caretaker will not enter the home). We do not charge a cleaning fee, but will ask you to do a bit of quick tidying before you leave.
