Park Rapids - Big Sand Waters Edge Cabin

Looking for a true getaway that reminds you of the vacations you took when you were a kid? We can provide that, with a 2 bedroom cabin 10 feet from the shores of Big Sand Lake, Park Rapids, Minnesota. Big Sand is one of the areas premier fishing and recreational lakes. 1800 acre lake with 35-foot water clarity, hard pack sand bottom, gradual slope out, and no weeds!! Fantastic swimming off the end of the dock. The cabin is a rustic two bedroom with a large deck and lakeside fire pit. There is a double bed in one bedroom. The other bedroom has a bunk bed with full mattress on the bottom and twin on top. Beautiful setting among towering white and red pines, right on the water, with a fabulous fire pit overlooking a natural rocky shoreline. This cabin faces west for the best sunset views in Hubbard County. The cabin is NOT handicap accessible, and people with mobility issues will find the steps difficult. There are 35 stone steps down (from parking) to cabin and waters edge. Please look at photos carefully. There are no hard-wired phones, but there is wifi and internet access. This is a tranquil environment and not suited for late-night partying. This cabin was part of an old resort and there is a close neighbor next door. Noise levels need to be low, especially at night and no outside music past dark. Sound travels across the water and is much louder than you would think. If a noise violation occurs and/or law enforcement is called you will be requested to leave with no refund. Where you park is important and we ask that you park/stay on our property. We have a canoe and 2 kayaks for you to enjoy that are included with the cabin rental. There is also a 16-foot Lund fishing boat with 40hp motor, live well, and depth finder available for you to rent ($100 a day, 2 day minimum or $300 for your entire stay) and a 20-foot Premier pontoon boat with 60hp motor available to rent ($200 a day, 2 day minimum or $600 for your entire stay).
