Its boat building industry is still thriving. ensure that all your boating needs are easily met. LookOut Ridge perches on one of the highest points on the island; from there you enjoy wonderful breezes and incredibly gorgeous views of the Sea of Abaco in front and Eastern Harbour behind. The Sea of Abaco side has its own swim platform with hand hewn steps to the water. On the Eastern Harbour side is your own dock. It is extremely private and quiet, insuring ample opportunity for relaxation. Two kayaks are available at the cottage and more can be rented at the Marina for exploration, beach fun, or just visiting the settlement. Motor boats are also available for fishing trips and visiting other nearby islands. What fun going everywhere by boat or footpath! The area offers first class diving and snorkeling on the third largest coral reef in the world! The settlement has 2 great restaurants, a very good grocery store, and several small shops and is accessed by boat or a footpath along the waters edge (see the cottage's 3 ring binder in the cottage for more detail as well as all the owners' personal recommendations and insights). Then a 15 minute taxi ride to the Albury Ferry or G&L Ferry Dock. A 20 minute ferry ride to Man-O-War. On the way there ask ferry boat captain to drop you at Dock 39 on Eastern Harbour.
