Sweet retreat perfectly located for exploring Columbia County, the Berkshires, or simply lazing on the lawn with lemonade and a good book. Completely renovated in 2019, the cottage has an open layout kitchen, living room and dining area. There are 2 bedrooms, including a spacious master with French Doors leading out to the yard. The house is set in a sunny meadow surrounded by woods with views of the Berkshire mountains. Walk down a grassy path and you’ll wind up at a pond complete with an ancient dock. We’re told it’s swimmable, though to be honest, none of us have ventured in yet. For hiking, there’s a spectacular Conservation area a mile down the road. The house has everything you need to live and work comfortably. The kitchen is designed for people who love to cook and is equipped with all new appliances including dishwasher, stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. The cottage has central AC and heating, a washer/dryer, WiFi and TV with an Amazon Firestick. We live in the Main House up the dirt road at Raccoon Forks. However, we’re only there on weekends, so you probably won’t see us. As your hosts, we believe it’s important to be readily available via phone, text or email should you have questions. If you don’t reach us immediately, we’ll get back to you within minutes. Though we live in New York City, we have a local caretaker who can make a house call if you need in-person help.
