This lovely Cape Cod Cottage is tucked away between Asheville and Lake Lure. This gorgeous mountain home boasts an open and flowing, main level floor plan, offering 2 Queen bedrooms, perfect for entertaining guests and friends. Enjoy the privacy of the upper level, master King suite as you relax and unwind, with mountain views and a glass of wine. Two queen guest rooms on the first floor and a full bath with shower. Imagine sipping your morning coffee on your wrap-around, side and front deck, overlooking your private yard space and mountain views. This is a pet-friendly home (one pet only please!). Please inquire prior to booking with multiple pets. When booking with a pet, please click the box that you will be bringing a pet and include a note in the comments on the size, breed, and age of the pet. The property is completely fenced. The property offers privacy and a fenced yard with fire pit perfect for roasting evening s'mores (bring some within a short drive to downtown Asheville. We strongly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle, as the gravel driveway is steep. Boating, paddling, rafting, hiking, biking, climbing, antiquing, shopping, dining, and world class breweries are all at your disposal! No parties or gatherings. The property is located just a few miles from Fairview, where you will find a Food Lion for your grocery needs, as well as Trout Lily which sells specialty organic grocery items, coffee, and has a fantastic deli. Cape Fear Seafood is next to Trout Lily and sells fresh seafood from the coast on Friday and Saturday's. Getting there early on Friday will help beat the locals to it. The famous Hickory Nut Gap Farm is just down the road, has great BBQ, and sells wonderful meats. They also have on site dining, farm tours, hay rides, and music events in their wonderful open air barn. The owners are a wonderful local family. Flying Cloud Farm is nearby for fresh vegetables and berries, and Rise Above Bakehouse in Fairview is a must for fresh breads, pastries, and coffee. Sky Mountain Pizza and The Local Joint are also great Fairview restaurants. Medina's Bistro in Chimney Rock is also wonderful. As far as local breweries, Fairview can hold it's own! Whistle Hop Brewing in Fairview has wonderful craft beers in their unique train cars. There is plenty of out door space, with frisbee golf, and a mini outdoor bowling alley. Or just sit by their fire pit and enjoy the local live music, while enjoying dinner from the food trucks. Turgua Brewing is a small craft brewery in Fairview located in a quaint, natural setting and has a wonderful selection of beer. Both venues are very family friendly. Less than 3 miles from the house you will find Bear Wallow Mountain Trail as featured on . It's a beautiful hike with an amazing view as a reward. You will share this view with the cows grazing at the top! Florence Nature Preserve is less than 2 miles away and offers streams, waterfalls, and over 5 miles of hiking trails. The Green River is great for kayaking, rafting, and fishing. Buffalo Creek in nearby Lake Lure offers 12 miles of hiking and mountain bike trails. Known as "Paris of the South", Asheville is a gorgeous 15 mile drive away. World renowned for breweries (Sierra Nevada and New Belgium call Asheville home) head to the south slope to Greenman, Catawba, Funkatorium, Burial, Twin Leaf, High Wire, Dirty Jack's, and Eurisko breweries. Visit The Chemist if you prefer prohibition era distilleries. If you're hungry down there, walk over to Buxton Hall for BBQ or Vortex Donuts for a morning treat. The amazing restaurant scene in Asheville is well documented. The Biltmore Estate and Grove Park Inn are "must see's". Asheville Regional Airport is 17 miles away and can be accessed by both Uber and Lyft.
