Tucked away in a remote corner of the Ozarks, in northwest Boone County Arkansas, the owner has spent years laying rocks. Some are ones he can handle easily. Some are so big they required a front-end loader to lift. He pieces them together carefully, making sure each stone fits in its place. The walls surrounding the castle are two-feet thick and standing atop one of the turrets, you can see the brilliant view of turning fall foliage and a pond where wild creatures come for water — the kind of place where man actually seems to be the intruder. You can watch the deer every evening as the owner spreads corn over the hillside for them. Bucks, does and fawns speckle the hillside every evening waiting for dinner. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful and tranquil grounds on Lacey Michele's Castle. The new suite has a mid to firm memory foam queen bed, and a full size sleeper sofa. There is a small kitchen in which we have included everything you might need. There is a full size refrigerator with ice maker, a microwave, dishwasher, electric skillet, blender, toaster, crock pot, dinner plates, drink glasses, and flatware. This space was designed with a specific guest in mind, the guest who plans to spend their precious time doing things other than cooking! The large bathroom is handicap accessible. There is a full tub/shower and a double vanity with towels and linens provided. There is more than enough space for 2 people to get ready at the same time, for that fabulous night out enjoying one of the amazing attractions that are within a few miles of the castle. This suite will comfortably sleep 4. The room is both heated and air conditioned and has a 32" flat screen TV. This suite starts at $75 a night for 2 guests. There is a BBQ grill with charcoal and lighter fluid provided, ready to go if you want to cook out while you play croquet, bocce balls or a fun game of tailgate beanbag. This outside area also has a large fenced area where the volleyball, badminton nets and horse shoes are set. There is a great fire pit for roasting hot dogs, making s'mores and star gazing! We have a small telescope for enjoying the night sky, were we are a certified black out zone. With over 5 miles of hiking trails, there is plenty to explore over the 70 acres of castle property. When in season, we love sharing our bounties with our guests. We plant all kinds of veggies and we hope to have something that everyone will enjoy! Just another perk of staying at the castle. As we are a non-profit foundation, we also sell vegetables to local grocery stores. All the proceeds from the sales go in to our scholarship fund for the Omaha High School Seniors. Our mission is for you and your family to be able to disconnect with the rest of the world for a while, and reconnect with each other while enjoying the castle atmosphere, surrounded by the beauty and peacefulness of wildlife and mother nature! We want your stay to be an enjoyable experience where tons of memories are made!! Of course with Branson so close, not to mention numerous other attractions in Arkansas, you will have an abundance of choices for your dining and entertainment pleasure! Eureka Springs is about 45 minutes and the beautiful Buffalo National River Park is about an hour from us. Come stay with us! You won't want to go home!!
