The Baja Beach Bullet: Airstream

The Baja Beach Bullet is a 1967 Airstream Silver Bullet, at La Salina Beach. Its old school and RUSTIC, but functional. Has private palapa ocean view seating area, and direct sandy beach access: 50 yards away. CHEAPEST PRIVATE BEACH RENTAL IN BAJA! The Baja Beach Bullet is a vintage rustic Airstream that has gone VIRAL and may now be called an I-STREAM!~ Yep this rustic Bullet has WIFi AND TV! The JETSONS would have been PROUD! The Bullet is located on the beachfront street in the community of La Salina Del Mar, @ 45 minutes south of the TJ/San Diego Border @ the KM 73 exit that also serves Puerto La Salina. This community is @ 50 years old and counting! FULL DISCLOSURE: The Bullet is a 26 foot 1967 Airstream Overlander, and its exterior shows oxidation typical for beach front RV's. I insist that a potential renter understands that it is RUSTIC, because of its vintage and its proximity to the ocean. However, it is clean, cozy, comfortable and functional. It features 2 twin single beds; as well as a foldout sofa bed up front, that 2 might squeeze in, but certainly for 1....the epitome of Air BnB's original concept! Kitchen has fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, Nu-Wave hotplate, and basic kitchen utensils. There is also a charcoal BBQ outside. (George Forman Grill Machine available upon request). It is "fan" conditioned in the heat of summer (which is not always necessary at the beach). And electric/propane heat in winter. Bullet has WIFI and TV that you can connect to your laptop for Netflix, etc. DVD and VHS player also available. Bathroom includes Shower/tub combo, but not very large. The Bullet shares a yard with my Beach Bungalow which means other guests may be in the general area, but the two units are adequately separated by space and each has its own entrance from the community road. Then again, if no one is at Bungalow, then no big deal! In certain circumstances, if no one is renting the Bungalow you may be able to enjoy the upstairs deck....but of course the Bullet has its own bar height table under the palapa which means you can sit and see the ocean and beach, while enjoying a cold cerveza! Washer/Dryer is actually in a back portion of the Bungalow, and is available if you request its use WHEN YOU BOOK! If you wait til you show up, no guarantees, but usually Bungalow guests, are like YOU very COOL and wont mind sharing the w/d. As explained above, you may run into the other guests at Bungalow, but obviously I request that everyone respect each other's right to privacy and decorum. I usually try to meet/greet incoming guest when possible to give a 5-10 minute orientation. Other than that I am available as needed or requested, only! The Baja Beach Bullet is located at La Salina Beach. LS features beautiful white sand, and is very expansive @ 3 miles long and 300 meters wide. It is NOT overrun with tourists, ATVS, horses, although some of that action is noticeable during high season and holidays, but NOTHING like the other beaches along this corridor. La Salina Del Mar is a gated/guarded and secure community with considerate security staff. We have had very few issues of crime in recent years, however, we recommend that you exercise due diligence to secure your property, as Baja Brent is not responsible for the same. You are welcome to come swim, surf, boogie board, kite board, sun and fun, etc. You can rent horses on the beach to ride. We are a community of ultralight sport pilots including paragliding, hang gliding, powered paragliding, and ultralight powered trikes. If you've ever been interested in going to Jesus, we can get you there either off the La Salina free flight ridge to the east, or right off the beach in a powered ultralight, just ask. La Salina Cantina/restaurant is at the gate upon your arrival. Good time "Cheers" style bar, with decent food and fun drinks. Karaoke on weekends and usually live music and/or DJ. Further clubs/restaurants: La Fonda resort area is 4 miles north and features Dymitri's original La Fonda, with some the finest surf/turf cuisine on the Gold Coast. Several other restaurants and clubs are in the immediate vicinity, which oftentimes overrides the need to go to Rosarito or Ensenada. Valle de Guadalupe wine country is 30 minutes away, and features Mexico's largest wine growing region. There are @60 vineyards, claiming 250 different vintners and labels. Baja Brent can help arrange a tour if desired. Bajamar Golf Course is 4 miles south, considered to be the Pebble Beach of Mexico, w/ 7 links along the ocean front. Downtown Rosarito Beach is 20 minutes north, and downtown Ensenada is @ 25 minutes south. Cabs can be arranged here. Or BajaBrent has his own ole school limo-van, just ask for details. ABC bus travels from TJ to Ensenada, and can stop for a local drop off or pickup, just ask for details. The access to the beach is @ 50 yards south of the Bullet. Parking for one vehicle is OK right in front of the Bullet next to the gate/sidewalk that leads up to Bullets door.
