Live life like a local! Centrally located on Spanish Wells close to the beach, restaurants and grocery store. Cay Casita is an island style tiny house (studio apartment layout) perfect for a mellow and stress free getaway. Multiple amenities included with your stay is use of bicycles, stand up paddle board, gas grill, a well stocked kitchen ,beach stuff, large covered patio spaces, free Wifi high speed internet and a spacious outdoor shower. This Island style tiny house has been lovingly renovated with new kitchen cabinetry, new appliances that include refrigerator/freezer, gas cook stove and oven, microwave, well stocked kitchen with multiple small appliances, gas grill, new highly effcient AC, washing machine , new plumbing, all new wiring and LED lighting threwout. There is an indoor walk in shower and full bathroom with all new modern fixtures. A newly constructed large private outside shower includes great water pressure and hot water. Freshly laundered linens include with your stay are bath towels, beach towels, sheets, pillowcases, blankets and dish towels . Free high speed internet is also included. There are 2 large covered patio areas in the front and back of the house with hammocks, sling chairs, large table, coffee table and multiple seating options. In addition to multiple bikes to choose from, there is a stand up paddle board (SUP wheels to aid in transport to beach), beach chairs, snorkeling gear, spear and Hawaiian sling, fishing poles and a croquet set for guest use. A very informative guest book includes menus of all the local restaurants, contact and information of all the local guides (and how/where to swim with the famous Bahamas swimming pigs!), maps, history of the area and information about day trips to Eleuthera and Harbour island. You will have access to the whole house and property that contains mature fruit trees such as avocados, guavas, coconuts and sour orange trees. Guests also have access to bikes, and stand up paddle board when they wish. There is also a storage chest outside with beach chairs, beach mats, fishing pole, snorkels and croquet set. We are not on site but are available anytime by email or text to answer any questions. A caretaker that has lived on the island for decades is available for house emergencies or other immediate assistance . Also there is a very detailed guest book that is available that offers detailed info about the surrounding area. The casita is located in a quite residential neighbor hood on a cross street. On two sides of the casita are fruit lots, across the street is the home of a long time lobster fisherman, and the other side of the house is a private home. The casita is located a block and half from the beach. The easiest way to arrive to Spanish Wells is to fly to North Eleuthera Airport (ELH). Pinder's taxi and ferry can be pre-arranged to pickup from North Eleuthera Airport and complete transport to Cay Casita. Getting around on the island and neighboring Russell Island can easily done by bicycles. There are some golf cart rental companies located on the island (info in guest book) and car rental companies if you choose to go to Eleuthera. Hot water comes on first as you turn the dial in the showers . The outside shower takes 45 seconds before hot water will reach the shower.
