The Foundry House by the Hudson River
The Foundry House is an ivy covered historic brick home, built in 1800. It was used as workers quarters for West Point Foundry and its lumberyard during the Civil War until 1911. It has been beautifully restored into a cozy and comfortable home. It’s located on a quiet street a block away from Main Street, half a block away from the Hudson River and the Bandstand, and a minute walk to Cold Spring Metro North Hudson Line Train Station. Everyone's favorite spot in the house is the corner seat of the couch, your can enjoy your coffee, read your favorite book, or simply enjoy the mountain view. Please feel at home in our home. However, no gatherings in the yard after 10:00 pm. Please email, text, or call us if you need any assistance or have any questions. Have your morning coffee on a bench by the Hudson River, shop and dine minutes walk away on Main Street, hike numerous trails within walking distance from the house, rent a kayak from our neighbor the Hudson River Expeditions and kayak on the Hudson River. We're one block away from the Metro North station. Cold Spring is a walkable village. The Cold Spring/Beacon Trolley runs from the bandstand (The gazebo by the riverfront half block away) in the Village of Cold Spring through Main Street and up Route 9D to Mount Beacon in the City of Beacon. The trolley offers hikers, shoppers and other visitors a safe way to travel between the two municipalities on weekends. The trolley stop at all the trailheads along Route 9D. Search "Cold Spring Beacon Trolley" for schedule and fare. We are children friendly but not child or baby proofed. There are sharp table corners, there's no safety gate, drawers can be pulled out easily, cleaning products are easily accessible, etc. Please use your discretion.
