This 78704 house is located in the heart of the Zilker, one of the most popular Austin neighborhoods, making it the perfect spot for you to feel like a local. Many great destinations are within walking distance - head north to Zilker Park, Barton Springs, Lady Bird Lake trail, and the nearby restaurant row or stroll east to the Lamar Union, Alamo Drafthouse, the Odd Duck, Saxon Pub, Broken Spoke, and other South Lamar spots. The home was thoroughly renovated, with a blend of modern amenities (LED Smart HDTVs, Google Wi-Fi, premium appliances, and central AC/heat) and some vintage accessories (Stangl dishes and white oak bedroom suite) reflecting the era of the home. The front bedroom has a full size quality pillow-top mattress and quiet sleek ceiling fan to make your nights comfortable. Typically, the second bedroom is set up as a study/media room with two comfortable chairs for TV viewing and space for exercise. If a separate bed is needed for your stay, the room layout is adjusted and a nice raised steel framed Frontgate twin air mattress can be set-up. The integral inflation allows firmness to be adjust for comfort. With fresh linens and covers, the room is transformed into a welcoming bedroom. If you do home based work/research, a large work surface with comfortable oak desk chair and a lamp can be set up. With Google Wi-Fi, you are set for a productive day. The neighborhood is located in central Austin, but it and house are very quiet and a great place to relax. The house has a shady front porch with a classic glider and a sunny back deck with a lounger and a gas grill. All the amenities needed to help you recharge after a busy day or late night. The house is designed to accommodate longer visits (1 - 6 months) - plenty of linens and towels, fully equipped kitchen, most all the cookware and gadgets needed, and full size washer/dryer. We do accept shorter stays (3-day minimum) if there is room on our calendar, so feel free to ask about your dates. To have availability for those longer stays, reservations for the 3-night minimum are not taken until 45-days out. Monthly and weekly discounted rates may not show on mobile app until dates are entered. Required City taxes (11%) added to stays of less than 30 days. We routinely update and care for the property and furnishings, so it stays fresh and inviting. The windows provide cheery light but the location is private. The street is quiet and tree lined. We strive to provide everything needed for a relaxing stay! The kitchen is terrific for preparing those stay at home meals. Beach towels for your trips to Barton Springs or Emma Long Park on Lake Austin. It truly is a small house done well. The layout is open and efficient, so it feels larger and with the great porches, you can take it outside!
