In the winter enjoy the cozy cabin feel and unwind. Just a few minutes from Summersville Lake Marina and dam and 20 minutes from one of America’s Coolest Small Towns, Fayetteville. Visit the New River Gorge Bridge or go whitewater rafting, ziplining, horse back riding and all the other adventures the area has to offer. Quiet cabin in the woods just minutes from Summersville Lake, named the cleanest and clearest lake East of the Mississippi River by Skin Diver Magazine. Relax and enjoy a morning cup of coffee on the screened-in porch or relax around the fire pit at night. Enjoy and explore the 2,700+ acre lake with its 60+ miles of shore line! Rent a boat, go kayaking, fishing, diving or rock climbing/repelling! Whitewater raft down the New and Gauley Rivers. Hike the many miles of beautiful trails. The Lodge is a 20 minute drive from Fayetteville, named one of America’s Coolest Small Towns by Budget Travel and Matador Network. Visit the newest National Park, The New River Gorge Bridge, as well as the Gauley River Recreation Area or Adventures on the Gorge. Visit in September for Gauley season and Gauley Fest or visit in October for Bridge Day. Winterplace Ski resort is located approximately one hour away. Your outdoor adventures are plentiful! Hardwood floors throughout with tile in the bathroom. Includes washer and dryer, air conditioning and heat. First bedroom with king bed, second bedroom with regular bunk and second bunk with twin over full bed. Screened-in porch with furniture. Front and back porches. Propane grill for your use. Indoor fireplace currently not functional. All bed linens and towels are provided. There is a TV with DVD player, Roku, Netflix, Disney+ and Peacock TV. Fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, cups, dish towels, silverware, etc. Keurig coffee maker which requires K cups. Full size oven, refrigerator, microwave and toaster. The cabin is equipped with WiFi, but we are in the mountains of West Virginia and the service can be “spotty”. We are not responsible for any internet outages, but will do our best to rectify any problems. Bring your own chairs to enjoy the fire ring. Well behaved dogs welcome. No cats due to family with severe allergy. Four wheel drive or all wheel drive highly, highly recommended for late fall/winter stays, in case of snow/inclement weather. We are not responsible for winter road conditions. *COVID-19 measures. We have always prided our cabin with exceptional cleaning. During the Covid-19 pandemic we will continue this exceptional cleaning. All surfaces, bedrooms, bathroom, high touch surfaces and kitchen will be sanitized before and after each stay. Linens and towels have always been, and will continue to be, washed with each stay as well. Entire house, except bathroom closet. We will usually be readily available for your stay to help with any issues or answer your questions. Contactless self check-in with entry keypad. Just a few minutes from the main road, Route 19, but far enough away to provide relaxation and tranquility. Take a 10-15 minute walk to Summersville Lake, or a short drive to the Battle Run beach, boat lunch or Salmon Run boat launch. 20 minutes from Fayetteville. The perfect location for all outdoor activities in the area! Enough parking for 3 vehicles
