2.5 hours from Toronto you can enjoy some R&R in your home away from home. Hidden among the trees is our wonderful Lake Lorraine (Tory lake) cottage. This beautiful cottage offers 3 bedrooms including a large master suite with two living room areas. This gem is nice and bright on the inside with laundry to allow you to stay awhile. Outside, enjoy some time around the fire pit on a level area. You will also find a 700sq.ft. wrap around deck for BBQing and enjoying the sun with the lovely southern exposure. You may also choose to walk down to another deck sitting just above the water to capture some of the beautiful views. Enjoy a refreshing swim with approx. 10ft. deep clear water off the end of the dock or wade into a small shallow area. Lake Lorraine is a small, quiet and peaceful lake that is perfect for a romantic getaway or a memorable family vacation. Water toys (2 kayaks) will be there in the summer for you to enjoy along with life jackets. Lock box to access the keys. We dont live in the area but will be available by phone and will leave all needed information in writing. During peak season (June 26 to (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) bookings will be Sunday check-in to Sunday check out (can stay multiple weeks - max 4). During non peak season there is flexibility on check in and check out but a 3 night minimum is required. 10% off for weekly rentals during non peak season. We supply duvet, duvet cover and pillows with pillow protectors. We ask that you bring bed sheets, pillow cases and towels for in and outdoor use. There is AC in all the bedrooms and kitchen (to be installed usually end of May) but likely by late September they will be removed. The dock larger portions of the dock will be removed by end of October. However the furniture on the deck above the water will remain for you to enjoy the view. If you are thinking of using the fire pit outdoors please bring firewood. There is a Timber Mart in Gooderham (12 mins away) that is often on the way to the cottage that sells firewood. Please ALWAYS check the Highland East website to ensure its okay to start a camp fire. We are happy for you to bring your little ones just a reminder that the fireplace and the oven are hot when turned on and there is a hutch full of glassware. There is also a mechanical room that little hands could do a lot of damage. Our little one is good there but we do keep an eye on him due to this. The cottage is not completely "baby proofed". Playpen and high chair available and a few pressure baby gates.
