Fawks Nest Barn - All rooms & common space

Welcome to the newly restored Fawks Nest Barn, originally built in 1865...freshly renovated for you! Enjoy the whole barn with friends & family - bring your own "bubble" for a fun & unique glamping experience, close to all the town amenities and trails. Guests can enjoy all 3 bedrooms, the living room common space on the lower floor, outdoor shower & sink (hot clean water), posh potty & the relaxing upper level featuring dining, sitting areas and kitchen. Bring your own food or order in from a variety of great local restaurants nearby (fear not, you have found a place where you can hear the bullfrogs, watch the stars & fire-flys, glamp in comfy bed, shower outside and still get Starbucks only 2 minutes away). We are dog friendly, for friendly dogs. We also have entrepreneurial teenagers who would consider dog sitting while you ride the trails, and can also lead trail rides (all levels) if needed. We are avid mountain bikers & there's lots of room for parking & cleaning (Website hidden by Airbnb) well as basic tools for repairs etc. The barn is not heated or air conditioned - this is glamping! But the stone foundation keeps the sleeping suits surprisingly cool on hot summer nights. For cooler nights guests will enjoy the wool Hudson Bay blankets and duvets. We have also equipped each bed with safari nets - there are not many bugs to contend with - but it ensures you'll have a mosquito free sleep. Events & Weddings. Yes we do! But these events are too complicated to book on Airbnb...you'll need to find our website by the same name and contact me. In a nutshell tho, for one day events up to 30 people the rental fee is $2K and $50 per person above 30 people - to a max of 120. If you want overnight accommodation for 10 people as an add on - it's + $1K. Our exclusive caterer is Hawley Cres Catering, any other food service is subject to an additional landmark fee. Guests who rent the entire barn have access to the barn and surround grounds, tennis/basket ball court, estate trails. We also share our indoor pool with barn guests - there is a heated indoor pool with separate entry...we ask that timing be coordinated with us when you check in so that we can give you your pool time privacy. The pool is very lightly used and most pool time requests are able to be accommodated. When barn guests use the pool we also offer our indoor powder room for emergency bathroom use only...we ask that guests do not use the indoor powder room and pool shower on a regular basis. We live onsite in the main house and will be nearby to ensure your comfort. Uxbridge is amazing and so close! It's hard to believe there are amazing restaurants (order in!) and brewery and shops only 2 minutes away. Uxbridge has a noise bylaw that is in effect at 11pm - we are not a "party barn"...we ask all of our guests to turn down the music etc to an acceptable range that neighbours won't be disturbed. We also ask that "lights out by 1230am" as we also do live within ear shot & sight line of the barn - we as that night time is respected as quiet time by our guests.
