We offer modern lodging with a brand new kitchen and bath outfitted with marble including complementary coffee & tea bar. A large living room is a great spot to watch a movie , shoot some pool or lounge around after a day of work or leisure. Enjoy amenities, salt water heated pool, luxurious bedding, quiet work space with High Speed WiFi. Minutes from hiking & bike path, restaurants, train station to NYC. Ideally located in the Hudson Valley we have wonderful accommodations ideal for a leisure weekend retreat or for business travelers who want the same comforts as home for unwinding after a long work day, instead of just having a single hotel room you will have a beautiful brand new kitchen, bathroom and of course luxurious bedding for a great nights sleep. We also have a wonderfully quiet work space, fast internet, cozy reading and painting nooks. A beautiful living room to unwind after a busy day, watch a game or a Movie on a 60 " TV, shoot a game of pool or play darts. We offer a complimentary Coffee and Tea Bar. Our outdoor salt water heated pool which is open from May 15th until October 1st located right outside of your door is a great place to do some swimming (maybe even a canon ball off of the diving board) or of course just lounge around the pool deck relaxing. Children are always welcome but must be supervised at the pool. There is a private patio for your use that has table & chairs, gas grill , fire pit and garden lights for evening use. The pool is shared with the main house. We have a friendly dog that goes by the name Maverick who lives in our main house that you may see lounging as well. We love meeting new people and are excited to share this area with you, we are born and raised in Sleepy Hollow so have much information about the area and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. We have grown up hiking the Rockefeller Preserve and would love to share our favorite hiking areas with you. Honestly my husband and I differ on which ones are our favorites so we would love to hear which is yours! Self check in is available however we are accessible at all times. If we have availability we would be happy to pick you up at the local train station which is only 8 minutes away. The Croton -Harmon station has express arrival and departures to Grand Central Station NYC seven days a week. Let us know a head of time if you would like a complimentary ride and we will let you know our availability, otherwise there are local taxis there at all arrivals. If you would like to take any tours including wine tours we would be happy to help you set that up! We are situated in the middle of many experiences for you to enjoy with the beautiful fall foliage. An entrance to The Empire State Trail is 0.7 miles away it is a 750 mile beautiful route through New York for walking or bicycling. There are many great fishing spots in the area for Trout and Fly fishing! Historic Sleepy Hollow Cemetery with the Old Dutch church is 7.7 miles away, the story of the Headless Horseman from the tale "The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow " takes place here, the famous Headless Horseman bridge is also located here. This is the burial ground for Washington Irving the famous author who wrote this and many other great tales including " Rip Van Winkle". Philipsburg Manor is also located in this area. Kykuit , The Rockefeller Estate was home to four generations of the Rockefeller family beginning with philanthropist John D. It is now a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation is 6.6 miles away. Union Church of Pocantico Hills is a repository of awe inspiring art by Matisse & Chagall commissioned by the Rockefeller family . Henri Matisse's last work, the Rose window and nine windows by Marc Chagall are here 5.7 miles away. Muscoot Farm 9.8 miles away where you can experience history, agriculture and wildlife in a family -friendly atmosphere with 50+ animals. Teatown Reservation 4.8 miles away is 1000-acre nature preserve and education center. Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm is a beautiful apple orchard for picking apples, pumpkins and peaches , in October they also have a corn maze 12 miles away. Pace Universities Westchester Campus is 3.6 miles away. Westpoint Academy is 24 miles away. Bear Mountain State -Harriman State Park 18 Miles away has over 200 miles of hiking trails including part of the Appalachian Trail. The Shawangunk Wine Trail is home to 15 wineries nestled between the Shawangunk Mountains and the Hudson River. We can help you set up transportation for this! We are 40 minutes away from Thunder Ridge ski Mountain a small family ski mountain perfect for beginners. As you can see there are plenty of things to explore in this area of course just taking long walks or reading a good book is always an option ! We are located 45 minutes from NYC by Metro North, Car is recommended unless you prefer to use UBER / Taxi, walking, or Bike ridding. Bikes are available for use at your own risk. Please bring your own helmet.
