Completely private on 91 Acres, overlooking our spring fed pond, this suite is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing getaway that is close to the city. Enjoy soaking in the suite's large hot tub, walking the trails, and view wildlife as you light a fire, swim, canoe or paddleboat... more hiking/cross country/biking trails in nearby Orono and Ganaraska, only 5 min drive to the quaint town of Newcastle. We also have cabins on the property, check the map close-up on Airbnb This private suite has it's own entrance and includes one queen bed, a modern three piece bathroom, parking, Wifi, fridge, kettle, cutting board, 2 wine glasses, 2 mugs, 2 plates, and basic cutlery. Modern and newly renovated, this suite also includes a private a luxurious hot tub. You are welcome to access the land and the lake and all boating and swimming toys. There is also a cabin that you are welcome to use during the day. Ask your host about this opportunity when you arrive. This is our home. We live upstairs and are available for any questions or special requests. Our suite is located only 1 hour east of Toronto, but is worlds away... come to rest, soak in the hot tub, read, write, or just witness the beauty of nature. Arrive before sunset to enjoy a fire outside your suite. Plenty of nature to take in and wildlife to view on 91 acres of forest, marshes, pond and meadows. Highly recommended is hiking in nearby Orono, numerous mountain biking/dirt biking, snowmobiling, ATV, and horse riding trails in the expansive Ganaraska Conservation Area just north-east. Alternatively, you can try a drive south on Morgans Road, to find our best kept secret, the picturesque and scenic Lakeshore Road heading east towards historic Port Hope, or take a short drive west to parks in Bond Head (the original port) or to beaches in the new port area (maps can be found in the welcome binder in your suite). Newcastle is a quaint village (5 minutes by car); with a massive new aquatic center and a large modern hot tub/showers/sauna with 2 swimming pools; Newcastle hosts a modern library with Wi-fi, several restaurants, a pub, 2 sports bars, Foodland Supermarket, No-Frills, CIBC, Vet Clinic, Tim's, LCBO, Pizza, Mani-Pedi, and more...
