Welcome to Homeplace on Reavis Mountain. This fabulous 1870 farmhouse has been in the family since it was built. The home has recently undergone a thorough 2 year renovation. You have the house and the surrounding 15 acres all to yourself!!. A spa-worthy master bath, front porch swing, fire pit and hammock in the courtyard compliment the uniqueness of the home. An added feature is a 25 minute tubing experience in the creek that runs alongside the property. Beauty and solitude all to yourself. Our home sleeps 12 comfortably throughout the four bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, and a set of bunk beds in the room adjacent to it. The second bedroom has a queen bed and third bedroom includes two queens and a bunk bed set. The two bathrooms have twin vanities and plenty of space for all your needs. The front porch is perfect for sitting and relaxing. The backyard features tables, patio lights, fire pit, hammock and a grill. You will have access to the entire house and property (15 acres) during your stay. We are happy to share our Homeplace with you and truly hope you get to enjoy it as much as we do. Our son, Charlie, is the 9th generation to grown up on this gorgeous piece of property. The farm has been in our family since the land lottery of 1832. It is truly an experience you will remember. Come explore the country life style on 15 private acres of rolling pastures, hard woods and creek frontage. Escape and enjoy an evening and dine under the majestic water oak trees draped in patio lights with a fire pit. The queen size hammock has earned the distinction of 2nd best place to chill after the front porch swing. All this for you and your guests. The farmhouse sits on a 50 acre site. You have access to the lower and center pastures that measure approximately 15 acres. Our home is located on the back side of the property and we are available to help you in any way at any time. The farmhouse sits on the edge of Reavis Mountain Rd. but there are no neighbors along the 15 acres. You can have all the privacy and isolation that you desire. Our home is perfect for families traveling to North Georgia for one of the many wedding venues as well as enjoying the scenery and fall weather. We are 5 miles from the Wheeler House in Ball Ground and 4 miles to the Tate House in Tate, GA. The Greystone Estate is @ 8.5 miles from us. The village of Ball Ground and Tate are @10 minutes away and the city of Jasper is @ 15 minutes while Canton is 20 minutes. We are located in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. You can float Long Swamp Creek that runs along our property. The hardy ones (Florida) have done it from March thru November!! The rest of the world does it from June thru September. We provide the tubes and life jackets if needed. You have the option to stay isolated or to go enjoy the local area. Ball Ground, a small bustling village, is 10 minutes away featuring restaurants, bakery, food trucks, and a great butcher shop. It's an eclectic mix that can satisfy almost anyone's appetite. Tate, @ 5mins away, features an old style soda shop counter with awesome sandwiches and great ice cream! You can also visit area vineyards or go hiking at Amicalola Falls. Recent additions designed to enhance your stay is a fire pit and a queen size hammock in the backyard and an awesome twin mattress porch swing on the front. When you arrive, and should you need almost anything not provided, we will do our best to exceed your expectations.
