Spacious home w/ pond and walking trail is situated on 60 acres of privately owned and tranquil woodland, located just outside nostalgic Old Forge. The large driveway accom. vehicles w/ boats, and snowmobile trls. Relax by the fireplace in the great room, or outside by the fire pit. Spacious bedrooms are located on the 2nd. Floor. 1.5 bathrooms. Full kitchen w/ dinning area, amen. & appl. to prepare meals. Fam. room w/ Direct TV. Washer & Dryer on prem. Encl. porch. BBQ grill w/ smoker avail. Comfortable and spacious year round home, is situated on picturesque grounds. The home is perfect for your solo stay or family and friends get away. Remotely study or work while enjoying a change of pace, place, and space. Guests provide their own beverages and food. There are paper products, shampoo, soap, cleaning supplies, dishes, silverware, pots, pans, one (1) set of sheets, pillowcases, extra pillows and blankets as well as firewood and newspaper. Large and numerous windows provide an almost panoramic view of natural Adirondack charms. First floor bolsters a family room with Direct TV and DVD player (included in pricing). The great room hosts a warm and comforting wood burning fireplace, as well as, a board game table and chairs. The game table features cards (whatever your fancy), checkers, chess, or a game of dice. The kitchen accommodations include dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, oven and stove, a portable kitchen island for additional work space as well as a dinning area. Along with the pots and pans, provided for use, a crockpot, electric beater, griddle, waffle maker, and toaster are available. There is a first floor washer and dryer for your use (included in pricing). The second floor bolsters three (3) spacious and airy bedrooms. The fourth bedroom is average. You will find a full bath with tub and shower as well. The large back yard offers ample room for frisbee, a game of cam jam, volleyball, bocce ball, or other yard games-bring them along. Make the most of your stay. Pack your tent and sleeping bag for an additional change of pace and place underneath the stars. Take the opportunity to canoe around the private pond or throw a fishing pole in the stocked pond (catch & release only). Take a stroll along the mile and a half walking trail (The trail starts at the back end of the private pond). Grill out on the open stone patio. Sit and relax under cover of the screened in porch, gazebo or sit beside the fire pit after a hike through the 60 acers of timberland, or after exploring the abundance of activities offered throughout the Adirondack Park. During the winter months there is direct snowmobile access along the walking trail to the groomed Adirondack railway for the snowmobile enthusiast or snap on your snow shoes and explorer the woodlands. PLEASE BE CONSCIENTIOUS, COURTEOUS, RESPECTFUL, AND RESPONSIBLE AS THIS IS MY HOME. Additional Rules: You must be at least 25 years old to book the home. Renters are required to remove all trash. Please clean up after your pet and dispose of waste appropriately. Please take your garbage and recycables to the town transfer station located in Boonville, as there is no trash pickup. If the transfer station is closed, the removal of your trash is your responsibility. **NOTE** The Boonville Transfer Station is closed on Sunday. Hours of operation: Tuesday-Saturday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Please place all dirty bed sheets and towels in laundry baskets prior to checking out or please bring to laundry room. Please leave comforters at the foot of the bed, as comforters are laundered independent/separately. Please leave the premises as you found it i.e.: clean and neat. Security Deposit-If you damage the home, it's contents, items are missing, additional cleaning methods are required or you damage the natural surrounding area and grounds, you maybe charged up to $ (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) There is a $25 charge per 4 bundles of the precut firewood used. (20 pieces or 4 bundles. A bundle contains five (5) sticks). Please understand the time and labor it takes to provide this amenity). The consumption or distribution of alcohol to an individual under the age of 21 is prohibited. Entrance: Lock box w/ key. Prior to departure, please make sure all doors and windows have been locked and secured. Please make sure the fire is out in the fireplace and the doors are shut, the fire pit is extinguished, the propane is off on the grill. Please place key in lock box upon check out, turn tumbler so your code is not showing and slide the door shut. Please text your host upon your check out/departure. A mere seventeen (17) miles from the historic hamlet of Old Forge, NY, which features an array of eateries, small and unique shops, a public beach as well as Enchanted Forest/Water Safari and the Strand Movie Theater-were matinees are $6.00 for everyone. Visit the Arts Center, McCauley Mountain, or launch your watercraft at Rivets Marine or rent one of Rivet Marine boats-instruction is available were you can travel the Fulton Chain of Lakes. The Woodgate library, post office, and Seasons Diner are within walking distance along St. Rt. 28 (approx. one half mile @ the light). Grab a bite to eat a Kratzy's Bar & Grill, the iconic Wigwam Tavern or the White Lake Inn. Stop in at Matteson's Market for their fresh pastries made daily or their fresh fruits and vegetables or their home made “to go” meals. Bring along your clubs and play 18 holes of golf at the scenic Woodgate Pines Golf Club. There is convenient access from the home to bicycle, hiking, skiing & snowmobile trails, as well as lakes, and rivers inclusive of white water rafting. Be inspired to take a train ride along the historic Adirondack Scenic Railroad departing from Thendara. Take a 15 minute drive into Boonville where you can find Tops Supermarket and Walgreens Drug Store for all your and cooking and personal essentials or take a short hike through Pixley Falls State Park. The home is approximately a 20 minute drive into the City of Utica. Approximately a 30 mile drive to the Herkimer Diamond Mines, and a 45 minute drive to Turning Stone Casino. As there is no public transportation, your own vehicle (mode of transportation) is a must. As you are in the Adirondacks you may come across a field mouse or two in the house. The home is on private well with a well filter, water softening system, and reverse osmosis water purification system as well as a Brita Filtration System on the kitchen sink. However, it is not suggested to drink the water directly. The mineral content may not agree w/ your stomach. Drink bottled water (a case will be provided for you to get you started). The water is absolutely fine to bathe, brush your teeth, shower, and cook with. DO NOT feed the wildlife. If barbecuing & eating outside at the picnic table, gazebo or on the decking areas, please bring all food and related items inside after use. You do not want to attract unwanted visitors, such as ants, bears, mice, and raccoons. NO CAMP FIRES outside of the fire pit. DO NOT LEAVE THE FIRE UNATTENDED. Please keep a bucket of water on hand and make sure the fire is extinguished completely prior to leaving the area. DO NOT flush feminine hygiene products down the toilet, as the home is on septic. There is no snowmobiling, swimming, or walking on the pond ice (this is to ensure the ecosystem remains healthy and intact as well as guests). Young children must be under direct adult supervision at all times.
