Aurora on the Lake is a magical retreat secluded and tucked away right in the heart of the village. Just a stroll down Main Street to the Fargo pub and elegant dining at the Aurora Inn and the Wells college historic and scenic campus. We have access to the boat house beach and dock across the street where you can enjoy swimming and sunbathing. Top off your day on the deck where you can relax with a glass of fine wine from nearby wineries as you bask in the glow of our renowned Aurora sunset! We take pride in our well preserved mid century style house with vaulted ceilings and large windows. You’ll rest in comfort in the four large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Sleep well in the comfy king and queen size beds with soft cotton bedding and duvets. Take pleasure in the open living areas and lake facing deck or sit by the patio campfire. Relax and warm yourself by the wood burning fireplace or soak in our seasonal wood fired California hot tub. Enjoy a delicious cup of French pressed coffee as you plan your day exploring our magical part of the world home to a plethora of local wineries, antique shops, waterfalls, local farms, and scenic lazy drives. The large open living areas, kitchen, laundry, deck and patio are yours to use and enjoy. The wood fired California Hot Tub is available as well on a seasonal basis. Always nearby to make sure you have a perfect stay! We are located in a quiet and secluded spot right in the heart of the village of Aurora on Main Street. Aurora is an historic and quaint lakeside community on the enchanting shores of Cayuga Lake. So much to explore in terms of American and Native American History. Aurora is also home to The private liberal arts Wells College. Just 25 minutes to Ithaca NY and the Cornell campus and close to historic Seneca Falls National Women's Historic Park, Treleaven Winery, Hearts and Hands Winery, and Long Point Winery. Experience great shopping at the Mackenzie Child's store factory and Jane Morgan's House as well as the Antique Exchange. Enjoy a lake side dinner at the elegant Aurora Inn. Indulge in a spa treatment at the newly opened Aurora Spa. Enjoy cycling and hiking on the newly designed village circuits. The natural beauty of the lakes and surrounding countryside is stunning. And makes for a great break from the urban hustle and bustle. Bike and walk to nearby attractions such as the Aurora Inn, Morgan Opera House, Village Market, Fargo and the Lake. Just 25 minute drive to Ithaca and the Cornell campus where you can enjoy the famous Ithaca Farmer's Market, "The Commons" pedestrian mall with its many shopping and dining attractions, Treman State Park and Buttermilk Falls. There is great swimming on the lake in Aurora as the water is crystal clear and there are several public points to access the lake across the street from our location. This is a quiet and secluded spot in the heart of the village.
