Watkins Glen is the heart of the FLX and Pines Cottage is one especially loved home in our village—right where the sidewalk ends. A three level layout of the garage/basement (level 1) serving as an entrance area and separate laundry suite; then entering up to the main living level (level 2) with back screen porch, full open kitchen/dinning/living rooms with patio door access to rooftop deck, den (being renovated), 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The glass triplexes in the living room bring the outside in, framing the environment and making it part of the space. Imagine, wine on the roof top overlooking Seneca Lake, coffee and conversation in the patio garden, working in a peaceful space, or just simply admiring the captivating views. Access level 3 and find 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with large central hallway and dormer window. Clean and environmentally friendly throughout. Enjoy our large rooftop deck which is 20 feet by 1 mile [the 1 mile view!] all the way east to The Painted Rocks at Seneca. A full kitchen with essentials to make a meal. A gas grill for roof deck grilling (full LP tank provided). All bedrooms have fresh linens; We provide a substantial but ultimately limited quantity of towels, soap and shampoo and conditioner. Garage door code will be provided prior to arrival. In addition to the house, garage and rooftop deck please enjoy our large back yard and double lot with perennial gardens and orchard trees. Big benefit to you as you can drive away as you please and no street parking worries. We are right on the north end of the village sidewalk. The village is entirely walkable if you enjoy walks and small hikes. We enjoy 10k and 15k jogs. The 10k starts at Pines Cottage and loops through the Gorge and right out the upper entrance of the Watkins Glen State Park and then North and East down the vintage race track. The 15k is inclusive of Pines Cottage and the entire original '48-'52 raceway! SPECIAL NOTE: We are keeping our base price favorable for two. Pines Cottage becomes that amazing getaway experience for two. If your group or company is more than 2, please be accurate with specifying total guest numbers as the booking rate is variably dependent on that number. i.e. if you book 6, 6 may occupy Pines Cottage. Six costs more than 2. —-///-///—- If you are racing crew members, we can give you simple bypassing instructions to avoid all traffic. We can generally be at the WGI main gate in 7 minutes. It’s just north on Reading to Glen Ave South to the old race track going the reverse direction then on to Meads and then Rt 16 west.
