Soak up the charm of this fully remodeled home. Built in 1900, the yellow farmhouse is a combination of old and new. Close to downtown, the highway, farmers market and Otsinengo park yet tucked away up on the hill away from the hustle and bustle, this serene and happy home will welcome you with open arms. This recently renovated home is beautifully furnished and almost everything is new. The beds are new and super comfy, the bathroom resembles a spa, the living room is modern but cozy and the open kitchen/dining room is perfect for entertaining and creating amazing meals. There are two awesome porches for lounging, reading or eating, and outdoor table set for dining alfresco. The entire house is for rent at an agreed upon price or by the room. The entire house except other guests bedrooms I love socializing with my guests but allow them privacy as well. I am a super hostess for a reason. I love to offer suggestions for drinking, dining, live music, outdoor concerts and events, exploring and day trips. My block is very nice and safe though the neighborhood does go downhill..literally as you head down the street. I live here alone and feel perfectly safe but this is Binghamton not the Hamptons. The location reflects the urban rehab that is happening all over town. The homes on the hill are beautiful old homes, though you do have to drive past a section that has not been renovated as you head into town unless you take Prospect which is an easy way to avoid the run down section of Oak street. Though not far away, the yellow house on the hill feels far away from the urban blight. Car,bike(good luck riding up the hill!) Uber, Lyft of bus will get you anywhere in or near town easily. There are quite a few steps getting to the house so it is not handicapped accessible. The renovating is a process so there are always improvements being made. This house was purchased in January and needed a lot of TLC. It is not a finished product yet..but it has come a long way. There are two older shitzus who reside here..mostly in a horizontal position. I call them the golden girls..and two cats who spend most of their time outdoors exploring. I guess they take after their mom. If you have cat allergies this may not be a good fit for you although I am also allergic to cats and dogs(the Golden girls are hypoallergenic) so I take great care to keep cat dander to a bare minimum. Their litter box is always clean so there is no smell. If you rent the entire house the animals will go with me a wanderin in my 68 Scotty which is also for rent.
