19th Century Mill House with River View
Nestled above a breathtaking Hudson River tributary, this 19th century colonial is the perfect escape for anyone looking to get away and unwind. The product of a twenty year effort by a long time artist, the house is meticulously curated and a testament to the “starving artist,” collected piece by piece at flee markets and tattered estate sales. Guests are provided access to a full kitchen, living room, studio, study/cinema, two and a half bathrooms and three bedrooms. All spaces are inviting and feature original flooring, doors, and hardware. The garden is a wonderful gathering space during the warmer months, and has un-paralleled views. Equally well suited to overcoming writers block or launching a day of antiquing in Hudson, this property is the perfect place to enjoy a warm family style meal with friends and explore everything that the Hudson Valley has to offer. While taxis from the Hudson train station are available, we recommend a car to best enjoy all that the area has to offer. This is an old house and along with its charm comes the occasional cobweb and creaky floor board. Also, given its location, literally perched on a cliff, absolutely no children. As part of the house's old-world charm, there are no showers-- only clawfoot tubs.
