***ONLY FULL WEEK RESERVATIONS FROM JUNE-SEPTEMBER*** Beautiful cozy cottage on a quiet private lane. Located just 1.5hrs from Toronto. Big picture windows over looking the lake. Newly renovated and open concept. Steps to private beach on Lake Erie. Please be aware that high water levels in Lake Erie can effect beach conditions and size on a daily basis. Large common areas. Big beautiful deck facing the lake. Weekly discount applied at time of checkout. Private beach area but due to extremely high water levels this year our beach has been greatly affected. Usually about 10 feet of beach but currently 1 foot. Fluctuates daily depending on storms. The cottage works basically the same as a regular house in the city with a few minor exceptions. The water supply is from a cistern tank and not safe for drinking. Simply bring drinking/cooking water and its good for everything else (showers, dishes, cleaning, brush teeth etc.) The cottage is on a septic sewer bed system. This basically means that you should not use an excessive amount of water or put anything down the toilet other than toilet paper and human waste. The cottage has a professional cleaning service come through after each visit but please have the place as tidy as you found it to avoid a service charge of $40/hour for extra cleaning. Everything in this home is there for you to enjoy in a respectful manner. - Pets are ok as long as i confirm with you, and they are small, well behaved, on a leash at all times & cleaned up after when outside. - Smoking is to be outside only. - Please leave the cottage as clean as when you got there. Most importantly make sure to have fun :) please do not use ramp on the neighbors property. Use our private water access only. Public Beaches When you make a left from Vola Beach Lane, there is a nice little piece of public beach along the treed area. There is a solid rock ground where you can sit or swim. It is more private because it is in a treed area. When you make a right from Vola Beach Lane, there is a public pebble beach access. More people go here to jet ski, swim, and socialize. Nearby services The Selkirk Provincial Park is a quick two-minute drive for campgrounds. There is a family-owned breakfast and lunch restaurant called Sunflower Cafe within 5 minutes. There is also a Convenience Store across the cafe that sells goods and liquor. Fresh Market Kitchen is also conveniently located across the convenience store. Locally owned restaurants are within close driving distance. Fisherville Tavern is a 10-minute drive that serves good food as well. Downtown Hagersville is about a 20-minute drive to get grocery, gas, food, bank, hospital, and other services. Cayuga is also a similar drive and opposite Hagersville that has grocery, car wash, gas, pizza. The famous race track is also a quick drive from the property. Jukasa Motor Speedway (Race Track) is about 10 minute drive. Toronto Motorsports Park (Race Track) is about 10 minute drive ***ONLY FULL WEEK RESERVATIONS FROM JUNE-SEPTEMBER*** ***DO NOT REMOVE FIREPIT FROM THE GRASS, NO FIRES ARE ALLOWED ON BOTH DECKS*** We are all a little worried at present, with the spread of the Covid19 virus and I want to make sure that you are comfortable and confident with the changes that have been made: Measure #1 - I have expanded the check-in time from 11am to 4pm (was 12pm to 3pm) to allow the cleaning staff to address a more thorough cleaning of the cottage in between guests. Limit of 10 guests. Measure#2- we have recently installed an outdoor driveway camera to confirm check in of guests to limit guest interaction. Measure #3 - The cleaning staff has been instructed to only use chemicals proven to kill bacteria and are listed on the CDC (centre for disease control) website. All commonly touched surfaces will be cleaned. Tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, electronics, fans, remote controls, cabinets, handles, dishes, cutlery, toilets, sinks etc.
