WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THIS PROPERTY: A craftsman-built beloved family retreat on banks of the Little Red River outside Heber Springs, Arkansas. Pricing is for up to 13 people in main house with 4 bedrooms / 3.5 bath. Additional 6 people in 3 beds + 1 bath can have access to bunk house for additional fee - upon request. Please be sure and click through all the photos and read the full description. Home is located in a sleepy enclave of full and part time residents. As good neighbors, quiet hours are agreed and no ATVs or firearms. Guests have whole house and river lot acres - 2.5 acres. A partial list local to this rental : guided trout fishing, kayak rentals, hiking, pontooning on Greer's Ferry Lake and rock climbing. 45 minutes away in the charming town of Mountain View is world class Blanchard Caverns Recreation area, Ozark Folk Center State Park and Loco Ropes treetop adventures - a great day trip for groups of all ages. ABOUT THE WATER: Important to note that river is extremely cold, even in summer months and not generally suitable for swimming or wading without protection. Nearby Greer's Ferry Lake has fantastic swimming options. The world record for a brown trout (40 pounds, 4 ounces) was set in May 1992 on the Little Red River, 29 miles of which had become suitable trout habitat with the completion of the Greers Ferry Dam in the early 1960s. This record stood until it was surpassed in 2009. While there is no dock, this is one of the few grand homes on the river that has easy bank access for wading, casting and lounging - if the dam generation is favorable. Record size trout have been caught in the winter months. One of the keepers of this property is a local fishing guide we, of course, highly recommend. BYO toiletries such as shampoo PETS: We love dogs. And they are welcome here with prior approval for an additional fee of $125/1, $150/2, and $175/3 - a flat fee for the duration of your stay. Heads up the pet fee is not included in most quotes you see on certain booking sites --- even if you select you are bringing a pet. ABOUT US, THE BOOKING PROCESS AND FEES: We are Ivy Vacations LLC, a professional vacation rental management company. We are readily found in a search. We love the area and mostly live very locally to the properties. All properties are self check-in – with key code – after 4pm. Check out is 11. Taxes and clean/supply fees are always required as is a processing fee that varies dependent who you are booking through. Rental prices are dynamic. This means they fluctuate based on area inventory and season determined by software.
