The creative team at Big Bend Airbnb restores RV trailers with accents and cultural tones that reflect the unique environment of the American Southwest. Our newest facility was designed to suggest a place of relaxation after a day in the high desert. The Starlight Lounge is rich with natural woods and surfaces that enhance the decor, a custom work surface and bar, a lounge area to read and relax, high-speed internet, smart TV, and decorative wall paper and ceiling stars that glow in low light. We've chosen to locate the Starlight at the historic Marathon Motel and RV Park, a Route 66 style road house that offers our guests an outdoor fireplace and courtyard, star parties in the astronomy park, and Thursday through Sunday delicious food at Rita's Cantina, just steps from our trailer. The Starlight is best suited for 2 adults and one child, but the center bunk is big enough for a third adult. We have a hot shower and toilet but ask that you avoid solid waste disposal when possible because of the water usage in the holding tank needed to clear it out. Water is precious in the Texas Trans Pecos so the park offers a keypad protected private shower with toilet and a large tile vanity just a short walk up the hill. The Starlight Lounge offers a hot shower, though, for your convenience, but we ask you to avoid any type of solid waste in the toilet, when possible. We take great pride in communicating with our guests and making sure they have everything needed for a great visit. Our response time is 100 percent positive, according to Airbnb, and we intend to always earn our SuperHost status. Just message us on the Airbnb app and we will quickly respond. Please take a look at the reviews for our other RV trailer at the Marathon Motel and RV Park; it's called Mezcal Molly, and our guests have enjoyed every minute of their stays. Marathon is a town of around 400 people and is located about an hour north of the entrance to Big Bend National Park. There is a small grocery store, a couple of breakfast lunch sports on Main Street, the famous Gage Hotel and White Buffalo Bar, a pizza place, and a new, and excellent, Mexican food restaurant called Los Muertos. Six miles south of town is the old Post Park with a pond and surrounding hills/mountains. Scenery in all directions surrounding Marathon is lovely and the sunsets and night sky are without equal. We welcome pets but have been forced to add a $20 cleaning fee for each animal, not to exceed $40 for the entire time of stay.
