HEALTH WORKERS WELCOME! Nestled on top of a hill overlooking the Penobscot River is our home. Converted into a two family home this late 1870’s house has many modern updates while maintaining some of its historic charm. We are less than 10 min from UMaine/Orono, Northern Light Medical Center/Bangor and the Bangor Mall. Everything is located on the second floor. The apartment has a separate entrance. Veazie is the ultimate quite spot located halfway between Bar Harbor and Mt. Katahdin. A two family home with separate entrances. Our onsite point of contact and cohost lives in the house, but living quarters are completely separate from the Airbnb space. There are 2 bedrooms. 1 room has a Queen bed and 1 room has 2 twin beds. The bathroom has a newly renovated walk-in shower. The living room is equipped with a tv (access to a Roku - streaming capabilities), 1 couch, 1 reclining love seat and a dinning table. The kitchen is equipped with pots, pans, oven/stove, microwave, toaster, keurig, refrigerator, sink, dishes, silverware, and cupboards for storage. Any room on the second floor. Between our host and two co-hosts, we are available for questions via the airbnb app. In case of household emergency please reach out to our onsite point of contact/cohost. We live in a quiet residential neighborhood. You can hear the rapids of the Penobscot river from our porch. There is a small riverside park a 5-7min walk from our home equipped with benches and historic information about the rivers’ biodiversity and the old/removed hydroelectric dam. Raegamuffins is a gluten free bakery (we are not gluten free but love their tasty offerings) a 15 min walk or short drive from the apartment. There is a Tradewinds gas station nearby that is equipped with a Dunkin Donuts, sandwich counter, bare essentials groceries and beer/wine/spirits. We keep a wide variety of brochures, maps and menus on hand for the use of our guests. The Community Connector bus service, connecting Bangor, Veazie, Orono, Brewer and points beyond stops directly in front of the apartment. Uber and Lyft are available. Onsite off street parking is available. Please note that although she will be in the apartment below, we can't promise you won't be able to hear her at times throughout your stay. Please take this into consideration before you book! We are practicing Social Distancing and ask that you respect that during your stay. Until the pandemic no longer causes a serious threat, we will ask that you not use any of our exterior amenities.
