Beautiful Sunset Meadow Guest Room

The Sunset Meadow Guest Room has an iron and brass queen size bed and beautiful views of the house's gardens, pond, meadows and hills. It is furnished with antique furniture and prints. The bathroom is only a few steps away in the hallway. This guest room is the largest of the three bedrooms in a charming 1800 "eyebrow colonial" located in Columbia County NY which is perfectly nestled between the Hudson River and the Berkshires of MA. Enjoy the tranquility of two secluded acres surrounded by woods and fields with views of rolling hills and incredible sunsets. The grounds include an in ground swimming pool, pond, mature gardens and organic vegetable garden. The entire house is tastefully decorated with antiques and artwork. The Living Room has a wood burning fireplace. There is a Finnish Sauna adjacent to the Living Room which is available to guests. The house is located 2 hours from Manhattan, easily accessible to the Taconic State Parkway. It is equi distant between Hudson NY and Great Barrington MA. where you can enjoy fine dining and shopping. Nearby cultural activities include Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow, Norman Rockwell Museum, Mass Moca to name a few. Outdoor activies include hiking, bicycling, fly fishing and golf. Enjoy skiing Catamount or Butternut in the winter. During your stay enjoy a home cooked breakfast and/or dinner prepared with farm fresh ingredients at an additional cost. Please be aware that my home is a multiple pet household. Not ideal for people with allergies. The house is also NOT childproof. There are many reasons why - the people, the history, the natural beauty and the abundance of wildlife. You will need a car to get around.
