The perfect retreat on beautiful Hood Canal. Rustic cabin is well-maintained and super cozy. Open concept for easy entertaining with glorious views of the water. Main floor bedroom with Queen bed plus a loft with Queen bed. Great outdoor living with two decks; front deck facing the waterfront. Use stairs to access the beach and boat house which houses two single kayaks, one double kayak, life jackets, and beach chairs for guest use. Our cabin is ideally located in McDonald Cove on the Hood Canal, less than 5 minutes from the town of Brinnon. Experience outdoor adventures such as hiking in the Olympic National Park and Forest, kayaking and diving in the Canal, sightseeing and more. The Cabin itself includes kayaks for your use, a fully equipped kitchen (stocked with basic spices, utensils, a coffee pot, coffee, tea, an electric hot water kettle, a blender, and a microwave). On the front deck there is outdoor furniture and a BBQ. From there, enjoy frequent bald eagles, otters, and seal sightings. The space also includes 80 feet of private waterfront. Have a fire on the beach or a campfire in the fire pit out back. Adirondack chairs are housed in the boathouse. * Wifi is available through a Verizon LTE hotspot. However, please keep in mind the area can have intermittent outages and speeds may fluctuate. The Hood Canal is an especially unique place for dive enthusiasts - just swimming distance off our beach is a dive location with buoy. Take in the beauty around you from the Olympic Mountains to the incredible hood canal beaches. You will have the entire cabin and beach to yourself. Available anytime for questions! We are here to help and make your stay a comfortable one! The town of Brinnon, WA sits on the beautiful Hood Canal. The area is famous for its incredible shellfish - shrimp, crab, oysters, mussels, and more! Also, a great jumping off spot for accessing the nearby Olympics. Brinnon is a very small town with a small gas station/grocery store for very basics, two restaurants, and a post office. Hood Canal is home to a range of renowned hikes in the Olympics- a few of our favorites are : - Upper & Lower Lena Lake - Ranger Hole trail - Mt. Walker - Dosewallips Steam Donkey Trail In the town of Brinnon, a few local restaurants (all within a 5-minute drive) include: - Famous Geoduck Restaurant - Halfway House Diner - Pleasant Harbor Marina Restaurant with live music! A couple more places to enjoy while you're here: - The Whitney Gardens - Seal Rock campground walking trail * boat and trailer parking available. * Must use stairs to access beach and steep stairs to access loft. * pellet stove in living room for ambiance and heat (pellets provided onsite) * two propane tanks provided.
