Host your family holidays at the secluded Hruby Ranch. Experience the freedom of Ranch life on 50 acres of private land in our spacious with soaring ceilings fully equipped unit. Explore miles of trails. Visit Alpacas, goats, a peahen, ducks, chickens, deer, wild birds and much more. Complete the day under the large pavilion and at the fire pit. Located 12 minutes from I 65 and 15 minutes from downtown Crown Point and 20 from Valparaiso. 25 minutes from the Indiana dunes and Lake Michigan! 50 minutes from downtown Chicago yet you’ll feel like a million miles away. You will be staying in our converted barn to apartment with 16 foot ceilings and exposed trusses. 30 x 40 foot open concept with a large loft. Full kitchen, bath, and laundry in suite. You will have access to the entire property. 50+ acres of woods and trails. There is a working stable with alpacas, goats and birds. All farm animal areas to include the stable and chicken coop require permission and accompaniment from myself or farm staff. Outside there is a large pavilion and fire pit which you are encouraged to enjoy. This is a working farm and ranch. There may be farm staff and other guests and visitors from time-to-time during the day. Our family, friends and I may be on premise and sharing outdoor spaces occasionally. During summer months every Thursday there will be a summer camp kids field trip from 10 am to 3 pm outdoors utilizing the playground, sand volleyball court and outdoor spaces. We are 7 minutes off of I65, 15 minutes from Crown point and 20 minutes from Valparaiso. Lake Michigan and Indiana dunes are 25 minutes. Fair Oaks Farm 40 minutes. Uber is available to and from our property. The nearest town is Winfield with everything you need to get along. Gas stations, grocers, pharmacy, restaurants, bars and liquor store... We are 15 minutes from Crown point and 20 minutes from Valparaiso. Lake Michigan and Indiana dunes are 25 minutes. Fair Oaks Farm 40 minutes. Uber is available. The apartment is heated by a wood pellet fire stove. Cooled by a stand up electric A/C unit and fans. There is no WiFi , cable or internet so you will have to talk to one another.
