The ranch house was fully renovated with a calming modern design that celebrates the rich history of a 1780s property. Cook in a full-equipped gourmet farmhouse kitchen and serve dinner for 8-10 on the reclaimed wood dining table. Each bedroom has quiet workspaces with great wifi for video conferencing and streaming content, ample closet space, high-end mattresses, pillows and duvets. There is air conditioning & heat plus two fireplaces, two smart TVs and a new washer & dryer. Both bathrooms have modern rain showers and nice views. The master bedroom is unique with 20ft lofted reclaimed wood ceilings, a private sitting area and an additional lofted bed. The front porch has 4 rocking and adirondack chairs and the yard has a grill, dining table that seats 8-10, a relaxing hammock, and immediate access to the miles of hiking trails and wading pools. Pups considered on a case by case basis and with an added cleaning fee. Discounts are automatically applied for week and month long stays when you book. Through March, host is also providing a special 5% discount for stays greater than 3 nights. Guests have access to 100 acres and nearly 8 miles of trails across forests, ridge tops, creeks and streams, including the cascades and wading pools at the top of the waterfall. Please be safe and note that exploring all of the outdoors are at your own risk. Please don't venture onto the main farm, including the lake, pool, tennis court and base of the waterfall. We are always accessible by messaging or phone. A property manager is also always nearby and available in case of emergencies. This is truly a 4 season escape. Enjoy the fantastic restaurants, bars & shops in Rhinebeck as well as neighboring towns of Red Hook, Hudson & Germantown. The Culinary Institute of America and Omega institute are both near with a variety of delicious restaurants & engaging workshops. Wonderful theater is produced out of the Center for Performing Arts in Rhinebeck as well as at Bard College. Wineries, breweries and distilleries fill the area as well as apple orchards & pumpkin patches when in season. Renowned Catamount, Hunter, Windham ski mountains are only a 25-45 minute drive. Hiking, horseback riding & bike trails abound in Dutchess County as does world-class climbing in nearby Minnewaska & Sundown wild forest. For a big adventure in the Summer, go tubing on class III rapids in Phoenecia. More relaxing are the multitude of nearby historic homes which you can tour (Vanderbilt, Olana, Roosevelt) and the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, with dozens of popular events throughout the year, including the Dutchess County Fair, The Country Living Antique Fair and the NYS Sheep & Wool Festival. It's easiest to drive or bike through the area. Parking is available at the cabin. The Rhinecliff train station is only 15 minutes away. Taxis and Ubers are also available to / from town.
