Rent our four season 16’ x 20’ Canvas Wall Tent for a comfortable stay in the wilderness of Catskills West on the secluded peak of our private 45-acre mountain campground. We have multiple listings ("Lean-Too" cabin and Outpost cabin), and you can check us out on Insta @dirtroadcamp. 4WD or AWD vehicles are recommended. Expect a true camping experience without needing gear. While our tent is cozy and furnished, with games and books, you are steps away from hundreds of acres of hiking, plus direct access to ATV / snowmobile trails. Included in your rental: Interior wood stove with water heater spigot (firewood supply included) Full bed, full size pull out couch, foldable memory foam mattress, single cot, pillows and linens Private outhouse with toilet paper, wet wipes, hand sanitizer Front deck with solar lighting and chairs + side decks Table and seating Firewood and outdoor fire pit 1800's wash basin with bowl and pitcher (no running water) Several gallons of water Kettle, french press Frying pans and grill utensils Dishes, bowls, mugs, silverware, cutting board, bottle opener Salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee, sugar, canned goods Paper towels, dish soap, sponge, oven mitt Books, cards and board games Candles, head lamp, lantern USB battery charger station Folding camp chair Matches Bug spray, sunscreen Garbage can with bags Ring toss game First aid kit and fire extinguisher Capacity: Tent can comfortably sleep 6 (2 in full bed, 2 on pull out couch, 1 on cot, 1 on memory foam fold-up mattress). Additional guests may set up tents on site. We have 45 acres surrounded by 750 more! During your stay at Dirt Road Camp, you are free to text us with requests, such as for firewood, coffee, water, etc. Our mountain has strong cellular signal across its acres, so we are available should you have any requests. The Western Catskills mountains are a special place indeed. You will find the quaint towns of Andes and Delhi just over the mountain. Roscoe, world famous for its fishing, is also nearby. Horseback riding, survival skills training, edibles of the forest courses are also just a few of the fun activities on site and nearby. Albany an hour north, NYC under three hours (traffic willing) away, Woodstock 45 minutes east and Delhi 10 minutes over the next mountain. By car from Albany: 1 h 35 min (91.9 miles) via I-88 W From NYC: 3 h (153 miles) via NY-17 W By bus, you’ll find Adirondack Trailways (Website hidden by Airbnb) Daily bus service from NYC to Delhi, NY (approx. 4.5 hours direct) The closest train stations are each approximately 1.5 hours by car from Dirt Road. You may take Amtrak to Rhinecliff, NY or NJ Transit to Middletown, NY, where you can rent a car or use taxi service for the remainder of the ride. Pets are very welcome at Dirt Road Camp!
