Having a well-stocked kitchen, you may choose to prepare your own meal or go out to one of our local restaurants within easy walking distance. Located in the small town of Crawford Colorado, The Hunter's Lair, a large modern ,bed cabin has two queen beds, one twin bed, and a rollaway available upon request. Having a well-stocked kitchen, you may choose to prepare your own meal or go out to one of our local restaurants within easy walking distance or you may decide to have Tammy and Gary prepare one of their tasty home cooked meals at a very reasonable fee. After a hard day outdoors, come kick off your boots and relax at the bar with an ice-cold beverage and enjoy watching your home team on our 55-inch flat screen. Cabin guests enjoy our spectacular outdoors with plenty of public hunting, hiking, and fishing and will find our locals very entertaining and friendly at the evening watering holes nearby. Guest's have a private entrance with two parking spaces and handicap accessible. The Hunter's Lair is completely available just to guests. The owners Gary and Tammy have over 60 years of experience in the customer service industry, knowing very well what it takes to have the customer leave happy and come back again. Once you meet these two, you will feel like you are at home and with family. You may want to take them up on preparing your group's dinner one night; they are very well known around the area for their culinary skills, serving many hunters for several outfitters throughout the years. Hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors are their favorite pastimes, and they are very happy to share their experiences with you around a warm fire pointing you in the right direction for your next morning's hunt. In my career I had the opportunity to live in some cherished places to many in this country spending 4 years in Steamboat Springs, 9 in Aspen, 5 in Jackson Hole, 4 in Lake Tahoe and finished my career in Montrose Colorado and moved to Crawford in 2008. Crawford is a sleepy Colorado Mountain town with about 400 people on a good day. Some compare Crawford to a modern day Mayberry except it is the only town in Colorado that doesn't have its own law enforcement. Atv's are allowed on all streets except Highway 92, there is an awesome cafe with an old western saloon in back where long timers can tell you we still live back in the day. We are a no stoplight town where ranching, coalmining, hunting, fishing and a few small businesses provide a living for the people here. So far everyone that has stayed in The Hunter's Lair has absolutely fell in love with this very casual kicked back way of life we live here and the area...If life is going way too fast for you and need some RELAXATION...Come see us at The Hunter's Lair, the place and it's hosts are awesome scoring 5 out 5 stars and has been nominated by AirBnB as a superhost. All guests will find it very clean and the fridge stocked with milk, juice and water along with a large basket of quick breakfast goodies, cereal, grind your own or regular coffee and tea for your stay. Population...400 and some... and growing 4x4 is the best choice year round for getting off into some of our beautiful backcountry but any type vehicle will get you to all the local attractions like the North Rim of the Black Canyon and Needle Rock plus we are central located between Telluride, Crested Butte, Redstone, Marble, Gunnison and Montrose, some of the most beautiful areas of all of Colorado Either or but in winter 45 is recommended. .
