Picturesque ranch house nestled in a valley w/ panoramic mountain views, our 3 bdrm, 2 bath is available for your next escape from the big city. Enjoy hiking, walking trails galore within 5 - 15 min of the house and amazing fishing spots. Or work from the desk with mountain views with super fast wifi. We are 20 min from Woodstock and 30 min from Belleayre ski mountain. Gaze at the stars from the back deck, stroll our 13 acres of land. Sorry, no pets or children under 12. The mountain views are simply spectacular. Sit on the sofa and watch the fog wash over the mountains and experience the quiet that only the country can provide. The Master bedroom was designed with the view in mind. We moved the bed to face the mountains so you can enjoy the mesmerizing view while lying in bed. The giant en suite bathroom allows you to soak in the tub after a long day of skiing and feel the warmth of the electric fireplace! Feel the warm embrace of a towel on the towel warmer. The 2nd bedroom has a full size bed with flat screen tv and roku stick and a large closet. The 3rd bedroom has a twin daybed with trundle underneath and doubles as an office (desk facing the view). All of our mattresses are either Casper or Tuft and Needle. There is a flat screen, smart tv in the living room with many apps installed (HBO, Starz, Spectrum streaming, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, etc.) Our Living Room, Dining and Kitchen are open concept to allow for easy conversation with friends and family. Breakfast bar is also great for cooking and talking. Cozy kitchen with all the comforts of home: KitchenAid mixer, Nespresso coffee machine with pods, Cuisinart Air Fryer/toaster combo, waffle maker, many spices and condiments to make your next gourmet meal at home. Key box with code Will not be near the house in person, but always available by phone/text/email. West Shokan is a very quiet, serene neighborhood, without much car traffic or noise. If hiking, fishing, walking or bird watching is your thing, this is the area for you. We are 5 min away from the Ashokan Rail Trail, a wonderful place to walk every day to get your steps in. Quarry trail is 10 min away for a relatively easy hike. For a more difficult hike, try the Peekamoose trails (19 min away) and take a dip at Peekamoose Blue Hole (swimming hole). Ashokan Reservoir Promenade is a must-do, gorgeous, easy, walk about 19 min away. Belleayre Ski mountain is 30 min away. Tubing down the Esopus River is a great activity in the summer. Tube rentals in Phoenicia 15 min away. When not cooking, enjoy several fantastic restaurants in the neighborhood: Marty's Mercantile (4 min drive) Bread Alone (10 min drive) Woodstock Brewing (14 min drive) Phoenicia Diner (15 min drive) Firefox Mountain House (15 min drive) Or take a scenic drive to Woodstock, 20 min away, for a variety of restaurants, shops, art galleries, coffee shops, etc. Car is needed. Please note that this house is not suitable for children under 12. We only allow a maximum of 6 ppl, and will need to be notified if you have anyone visiting aside from approved guest list. Our Airstream, named Dhalia, will be ready later this year. We are building a deck, firepit, outdoor seating, string lights and getting electrical and water hooked up. Will post an update soon. There is a security camera outside on the carport facing the driveway. Hot water usage should be monitored, ie tank cannot support several long showers back to back.
