Kootenai River Homestead - Whole House

Come stay at the Kootenai River Homestead! Our home is located right on the river with great water views from the house and a little under an acre of waterfront for our guests to access. This is a truly unique location on the river--perfect for those that want to fish, relax with loved ones, spend a special weekend with your special someone, or use it as a basecamp for adventures! We have used our family home for years to host family and friends and are now so happy to share it with you! THE HOUSE • ****This listing is for the whole place. Please check out our "Kootenai River Homestead - Master Suite" listing if you are a party of 2! (Website hidden by Airbnb) The listing is attached to the main house (shared wall), but has separate parking and entrance. Doors are closed off between the 2 houses to ensure privacy for guests! The main house is occupied by the host, but you will likely have little interaction. • There are 3 decks for guests to enjoy: front/river view deck, back deck with grill, and second story deck. With plenty of outdoor seating for guests to enjoy! RIVER ACCESS • River access is via foot • No access for vehicles/boat trailers at this time • Guests can take out/put in their hand-carried water recreation equipment (e.g., kayaks) • Fire pit and chairs along the bank of the river are available for guests to access in the evening • We have excellent fishing right off our river bank so bring your fly fishing rod to catch a meal while you're here! • Most of the outdoor space on the property is shared, but as there is lots of outdoor space, there will probably be very little interaction. You may see the host out walking the dogs, watering the garden, or enjoying the river view. I would love to meet you if you want to meet me. :) LOCATION • We are located about 5 minutes from Troy, MT, 25 minutes from Libby, MT, and 30 minutes from Bonners Ferry, ID. DRIVING • We recommend lots of caution when driving around the area due to wildlife that can often be present on the roads. Twilight hours can be especially difficult to see. The driveway entrance to the Airbnb is at the opposite end of the property from the address listed. The address is 9446 US Hwy 2 Troy, MT. and the Airbnb driveway is about 2/10 of a mile west of the main driveway entrance. There is a sign at the Airbnb driveway entrance "Kootenai River Homestead" and signs to direct drivers to the Airbnb entrance itself.
