This is a rare chance to sleep in a comfortable tent in the middle of wide open space and to feel the essence of the surrounding desert. It's like you are stepping back in time: there are even old abandoned Pony Express buildings from the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) 's nearby that you can walk to. Includes a Bell Tent with a full size mattress, clean linens and pillows, and a sleeping bag for extra warmth. There's also a hammock and construction site toilet. Bring plenty of water and paper towels. Unbeatable desert camping and star gazing, just a short drive from Petrified Forest National Park, Painted Desert, Meteor Crater, Indian Ruins, and more. The whole place is yours and yours alone! No noisy neighbors, you are in a large open space where you can enjoy the sounds of nature. If you should find the tent locked upon arrival, please reach your hand under the entrance to the tent (between the tent floor and the ground, and located a plastic container with the key inside). There may or may not be guests in the other 2 tents on this 3.75 acre site. Please respect the privacy of the other campers and be considerate. Your are only minutes away from world class attractions such as: the Petrified Forest National Park, the Painted Desert, Meteor Crater Landmark, and Homolovi State Park (Indian Ruins)! Note: this is a dirt road and the ground can get very soft in places after rainfall; please use caution and if you are concerned about road conditions contact me and I will refund your reservation. I am not responsible for stuck vehicles or towing charges. There is a convenience store in the neighborhood. This is a remote open area subject to very high winds and even monsoons. This is also protected graze land and cows may wander near your campsite; please do not disturb them. Other wildlife lives in desert (snakes, spiders, etc.). Please watch where you walk and avoid sharp cactus plants that naturally grow in the area. Enjoy your unique adventure! Please bring your own food, water, and paper towels. When you leave please take your trash with you.
