The Bear Den - explore Bears Ears and relax here!

Cute, comfortable place in walking distance of the movie theater, library, and eating places. Easy drive to Bears Ears National Monument, Hovenweep, Natural Bridges, Monument Valley, and the Abajo mountains. Use as a base to explore and photograph these wonderful places. The house is decorated with photographs and painted with local colors. It is a medium/small house with lots of space to spread out. The core of the house is historic and has several add-ons. As such, it has a few hidey holes and fun. There are horses next door to add to the western flavor and very occasional aroma. Unless I am out exploring and out of cell range - I am here for questions and assistance. Wow! So many National Parks and Monuments, Anasazi evidence, great geology, and night skies! It is a small town, so everything is close - grocery, movie theater, seasonal ice cream and pizza, and the Wellness Center (gym). From the house you can walk to theater, some restaurants, and library. Drive to grocery store, Wellness Center, and hospitals. Edge of the Cedars Museum are just north, and hiking trails are just to the west of the house. Dogs are allowed in the house. You must go out with them in the yard as the fence does not circuit the whole property.
