Come join us for a charming farm stay at Sunrise Farm located in western Wisconsin less than one hour from the Twin Cities! Nestled away on 14 acres of beautiful and tranquil farmland, the RV Camper provides all the comforts of home for either family, couples, or friend getaways. We’re here to help you move away from screens and reconnect with nature and animals. Baby animals arriving this Spring: 13 chicks, 3 goslings, & 3 ducklings. The season begins May 6 and ends October 15. LGBTQ friendly. On the farm, you’ll be able to spend fun-filled days hiking our well-maintained secluded forest trails while geocaching or doing the scavenger hunt, join Doreen as she takes the six adorable Nigerian Dwarf goats on their daily walk, give belly rubs to the Kunekune pigs Jimmy Dean and Jelly Bean, and watch the funny antics of the chickens and ducks as they free range in the yard, and enjoy an evening hayride in a vintage John Deere wagon for "happy hour with the farm animals." Also available are outdoor yard games, a large swing, two hammocks, and two adult-sized bikes. In addition, we highly recommend you visit the ever-popular Willow River Waterfall located minutes away at the Willow River State Park (a daily park pass is required) If you'd like to view a spectacular sunset, you can rent our two kayaks and enjoy the Three Lakes located just across the road (a small fee charged to transport kayaks). And when the day is done, kick back and roast some marshmallows around an evening campfire, stargazing, and admiring the moon in the night’s sky. There are no streetlights here! Complete with a super comfortable queen-size bed, a sofa sleeper, and bunk beds along with a TV/DVD/Stereo, central air conditioning, a modern kitchen and bathroom, you'll find this the ultimate cozy space for you to relax and recharge. Just because you’re escaping the “wild” to visit the wilderness doesn’t mean you can’t be comfortable too. We provide sheets, pillows with pillowcases; however, we require you to BRING YOUR OWN BLANKETS AND BATH TOWELS. 1. The owner's house is located on the property but doesn't interfere with your camping experience. 2. We also allow RV campers for overnight stays through (Website hidden by Airbnb) so there is a possibility to see other guests on the property/farm during your weekend stay. 3. Everything needed for a Campfire is included for your use: a fire pit, chopped wood, firestarter, and 5 comfortable camp chairs. Because this is a farm stay with an emphasis on the animals, the hosts will initially be with the guests for their first few interactions with the goats and pigs, and the "how to" when with the chickens, ducks, goats, and pigs. A parent must be present with their child(ren) at all times when interacting with any of the animals. No children 5 and under are allowed within the fenced living area of the animals. The animals are walked and/or free-ranged on a daily basis. We want you to explore everything nature and the surrounding area has to offer because that’s the real fun of country life. Our charming farmstead is within minutes of some of the best sightseeing and summer activities including a breathtaking waterfall adventure at the Willow River State Park (10 minute drive), swimming at spectacular Perch Lake (14 minute drive), try the Backroads Safari's drive-thru animal experience in Boyceville (40 minute drive), and even some trout fishing at the Eagles Roost Trout Farm (2 minute drive). Also, there are beautiful prairie lands with three lakes located on public DNR land just a short walk down our driveway and across the road that provides the most spectacular sunset which you can see using our two kayaks (ask us for more details). Contact us today if you have questions about our location, local amenities, or other exciting opportunities in the area and we’ll be happy to introduce you to our little slice of country heaven! Most campgrounds across Minnesota and Wisconsin are either sold out or heavily booked during the pandemic, which is why we are the perfect option for your one-of-a-kind camping get-away. In addition, for your safety, we follow the Airbnb-recommended cleaning protocol.
